We need more women of color, like Isabela, as love interests.

Vivienne and Scribe Girl (who is probably not a companion) need to be romanceable.

Kiwi did you know that Gaider originally wanted Nathan Fillion to voice Alistair?

Hmm...I've got mixed feelings about that- Alistair is way too tweed as pie for Nathan's voice. He needs a Mal. :D

Makes sense, All of them were really different from eachother and someone would be enjoying a certain character a lot and than they find out they cant have them and have to be with someone Really different if they still want to romance anyone..most of that game is about your party

I've never really understood the problem with this myself -- It hardly cheapens anything about the characters, because it doesn't define them individually. People asking for realism in their games aren't fully aware of what they are actually asking for I believe.

My preference would be to have set sexualities for each companion.

If we only have four romance options in DAI I would prefer they do it i like DA2. This way everyone has a choice on who they want to romance. If their is only one gay/ bi companion then people who do want a gay warden are forced to romance the only option available or have no romance at all. That is not fair or equal in my opinion.

What I would like to see is 2 added romance options, whether they are companions or story important character like Traynor and Cortez in ME3, does not really matter to me. If we had a total of six romance options it would be fun to see 2 bi, 2 straight, and 2 gay characters. This leaves plenty of choices on who to pursue and lets Bioware stretch their wings. Id really like to see a gay companion and see how they are handled in the game.

Do we have to have another one of these?

I thought they said the romance scenes were going towards what ME1 did and that the LIs would be romancable by any player (something that I will admit I somewhat disagree with....)

And before people jump on me calling me a bigot let me just say.... the reason I disagree with every LI being romancable by every type of player character is this. Personal taste on partners and such adds a backstory to the character. Say a LI wouldn't want to be romanced by a dwarf or elf... there's another fold in there. Say a LI is interested in men only like Morrigan was or women only like Alistair was it adds a unique flavor.

The fact that every LI is romancable by any player character means I could potentailly play through as a male human mage, female human rogue, male elf rogue, and a male dwarf warrior and I'll romance the same blasted person each time.

Yup, I did exactly this with every playthrough I've done with DAII.  Thus far, I have only played as a female Hawke and every time I romance Anders.  I just attempted to try a Fenris romance last summer only to go back to Anders after Fenris walks out on Hawke.  Didn't bother romancing Merrill, Isabella, Sebastian.  Choirboy was annoying to me and I'm a straight female, so just by sexual preference alone I made no attempt to romance Isabella or Merrill.

It will give a extrem depth to your Party. For instance if one is realy anti and of 9 party members lets say 2 or are bi or gay. Then you have 3 ppl that hate each other just because there believe's are diffrent but the still have work each other. You geth dialog and over course of game the wil learn or not to respect each other

Fenris and Anders should have had hate sex if Hawke romanced neither.

Speaking of which, romance between characters who the protagonist hasn't romanced is cool. We need MOAR of it.

According to Oghren dwarves are perfect height to please human females. I think it also works for males. I don't really like cullen but I won't deny he is good looking. Varric is OMGWTFIWANTTHISNOWQQ.

1. I think including companions that are strongly prejudiced against any real world group of people is a terrible idea. I wouldn't want to have a misogynist or white supremacist in the party either.

2. We've got no evidence that any culture in Thedas is strongly prejudiced against homosexual relationships anyway. The Chantry doesn't seem to care, and the Qunari are down on all kinds of sex other than assigned matings for reproductive purposes. No direct evidence either way about the dwarves and Dalish elves, but you'd have think it would have come up by now if it were a big issue.

If I had a choice I'd go with Origins. Much more realistic in terms of sexuality. Everyone being bi was awkward. Especially Anders, because I swear he was straight.

I hear people say that all lot but honestly I never got that impression of him from DA:A. Yes he talked about the female templars but he also talked about robes helping trists in shadows of the tower without mentioning gender. Nothing he said during DA:A led me to beleive that he was straight and not bi. I assumed he was because he didn't specifically mention a male lover but then he didn't specifical mention a female lover either. I never played a male Hawke so he never came out to me as bi but when I read about it I wasn't susprised.

It's not like Jack in ME2 - who talks about having both male and female lovers and then is only a straight romance.

I really hope that this image does prove to be the Grey Warden companion, whether romanceable or not. The link seemingly is of the same character, and while I'm at it - - - just wanna say that if wishes can come true, a Warden-centric dlc for Inquisition would be awesome (unlikely; yes). But. AWESOME!!
