But yes... Tamlen is what you girls would consider... *sigh*... "sweet". I think I can catch his persoanllity well. I'll post chapter one tomorrow, and perhaps recommend it to you two if you'd like.

I didn't think Tamlen was seductive, more of the sweet. "You know I'd do anything for you."
thats being seductive... its an innocent, devoted approach, but its still seduction.
i'd ultimately envision a scene where he says, "look, you either love me, or you don't. i won't force you to choose, but if you don't love me, this can't continue." or something to that effect.

It's interesting how perspectives differ.

I don't know if I could not choose Tamlen, the guilt alone for leaving him in the ruins.
lol... its this same sort of guilt that makes it hard to not like Alistair. to ensuring that companions like Wynne like me. and also that i tend to go "good" even if i start out intending to be bad... and that usually gets unhinged as soon as i meet Cailan... i find it seriously difficult to be rude to him... he's just so eminently likable.

And Tamlen > Alistair > Zevran.

Yeah. Whenever I try being evil, I always end up good. The NPCs just make you feel SO bad when you do anything wrong.

Competition? Why? If you're going for a Dalish gal's choice, why not build herself a male harem? Pick both!
That's why the polyamory mod WINS.

Tamlen is certainly the best character in the Dalish origin... Merrill gives me the major irrits... i swear, i wanted to push her through the mirror myself. and the story-teller... who's name escapes me atm... him too... (not that my Dalish would have, ever done such a thing, having lost the man she loved to the Mirror only days before)
however, the rest of them... they're family... how can we not like them... even those i disliked have their redeeming features (Merrill is only the way she is coz she's young and in a position of unexpected authority, and the Story-teller is only annoyed with you coz he cares so very much about you and Tamlen).

lol Wynne would totally be in for that... you've heard her banter with Alistair about seeking "company" from the other Mages...(side note: i reckon her Son is Cullen, and his father is either Gregoir or most likely - Irving or Uldred... but given to the chantry and raised with no knowledge of his parental origins)

Paivel I believe his name was, and yes, that was one of the biggest disapointments of the game for me. That the Dalish never sees their clan again except for Ashalle at the end.

When your Dalish Warden is leaving, Merril and the Keeper show the greatest amount of emotion, and the Warden even tries to cheer up or comfort Merril. I've always been suspicious as to the exact nature of the relationship between them, then. Was she a playmate with you and Tamlen, as children, then had to become studious, serious and all that, after becoming the Keeper's First? Did she have some sort of "thing" (crush/feelings/sisterly bond) for the Main Character?
