Thank you guys for making me feel less crazy for loving Tamlen despite the fact he was in the game for perhaps 10-15 minutes. lol I even made FF.net add him to their character list. xD lmao
There was just something sweet about him, and then when he comes back as a Darkspawn...I felt so guilty and pissed at Duncan. lol I've been trying to decide for about a week now which Origin I want to write a FF for. I'm stuck between Dalish/Mage/HNoble. I did think of a way to cure Tamlen though that I don't think is THAT weird if you'd like the suggestion.
Who else sodding loved Tamlen?

Not love, but yes I definitely felt sad for him and when he showed up at camp and I had to kill him that was really heavy stuff. Killing your best friend and all that...

This thread surprises me. Tamlen made no impression at all on me, except that he was kind of a dumb ass about the mirror.
It's interesting how perspectives differ.
I felt the same as you. Tamlen more annoyed me when he ran off and explored the cave, and got my PC recruited and infected!

I'm not saying he wasn't an idiot for going for the mirror, but the dialogue you can have with him where he tells you he loves you and stuff...it's just sad. lol

Oh god, i loved Tamlen. Though I honestly love him as a big brother/partner in crime than a romance option.
I honestly was sad that i didnt see enough of tamlen in the game. SO!!! just as any self respecting fangirl, im writing a Fan fiction on Dragon age. Though, its not exclusively about Tamlen. This one is focuses on a female, Dalish warden and her adventure through the game. Though, i put a much larger emphasis on Dalish life, Tamlen's connection to the warden, and the trouble they get into together as they grow up, through flashbacks during the course of her adventures.
I also want to write a bonus chapter that takes place at the end, where the female Warden goes back to Tamlens grave at her old campsite.
that would have been a nice end scenematic

Necro-ing threads is usually a bad thing because as time progresses, status's and the like change. However, this one does not change and still has much relevence to the present day. I, for one, have renewed my love for the character of Tamlen after playing through the Dalish Origins again just two days ago and as such, this thread is entirely relevent.
So yes.. it's a necro, but not exactly a bad one. It was rather pleasant reading through all three pages, even though they were posted a year ago.
