Does activating (or detonating) tech armor in ME3 reset squadmate cooldown as it does in ME2?

No.

And FWIW, that feature wasn't supposed to be in the retail version of ME2 either. ;)

Interesting, I did NOT know that.  My entire build strategy with ME2 Sentinel was always focussed on that feature. I basically kept Shep on constant armor cooldown the entire game, and hammered enemies with squad powers at 2x rate.  Without the cooldown synergy, I think it would be a much more awkward class.

I always played the class as a caster. I hardly ever had the armor explode. When it did, it was usually an emergency where the cooldown reset became a life saver.

And no one really noticed it on the forums for over a year. For historical purposes, this page on an old thread is the first instance where someone mentioned they noticed it reset squadmate powers. About halfway down the page, sinosleep posts a response from Christina Norman, the ME2 lead game designer, that explains it was originally a feature of Tech Armor that was supposed to be removed but was left in by accident.
