Yeah, I've just seen that banner for the 1st time ever as soon as I saw it, I thought it was the most beautiful thing I ever seen in a mass effect game aside from an asari

This is the first time ever I encountered this glitch, but something is definitely up. I got this instead of my Hero of the last day banner, tried restarting and reseting in HQ multiple times and it didn´t help at all. I eventually switched to Earth banner and this one is displayed properly. Also saw another broken one in lobby.

the solution to this problem is to switch to other banners you want to pick and play. once you're back in lobby after a match, you should be able to switch back to one you used originally. it will display correctly.
Edit: btw the servers do get hiccup that causes the images to load incorrectly, so you'd have to do the solution above.

Reminds me of the old colour tv test pattern in days of yore. But none of the young whipper snappers on this site would know about it. Nor would they believe there was a time when tv channels actually went off the air late at night until the morning. Youth these days don't know how lucky they got it.

this isn't a new glitch. I saw it about a year ago and it seemed to affect all the banners that were alternates or came with the weekend challenges. Happened to several people at once as well. Seemed to go away after about a week.

I'm on Xbox and I got this banner last night in place of my BotB. I had the male Shepherd one so it wasn't an alternate banner. I also noticed that when I would change my banner on n7hq even to a non-alternate one it would not change in-game.

Gotta disagree with this theory. If anything, the store took even longer than usual for me. Took almost a full minute on a friggin' recruit pack.
