I tend to find that too many players wait to use their missles until Wave 10 (hoping for 4-kill objective) ; or the Extraction Wave.  

I'd like to see more used in waves 8 and 9, especially since we (should) have 24 as a team.

I wish I had that kind of focus. Usually I just rage missile geth primes without a second thought

I typically try to get through most matches without using them at all unless necessary to accomplish an objective. That way I can stay at 255 and force Ops Packs and Medi-Gel to drop from the store.

But if I'm feeling impatient or the match isn't going well, I will nuke on waves 8 and sometimes 9. I feel like a fairly large majority of my wipes come on wave 8 if they come at all, so anything that gets through that wave budget faster is A-okay with me.

you should only use your missiles for:

-abominations next to teammates
-swarmers
-wave 11 spawn nukes
-wave 3 collectors/platinum targets

I tend to save mine when playing with people that I don't know. Never know how handy they might be if I get stuck soloing.

I don't use missles, I just shoot to kill enemies each wave. and I even have to fight very hard on platinum to protect my teammates.

Wave 9 is insane so automatic nuking is required to prevent a possible wipe.

just look at your BSN name... you'd know when to missile and who to nuke...

As close to the target as possible without hitting it
When your friend has a nice target lined up
When you're feeling kookie
When your d-pad messes up
