Give some of those characters ****** and we're all hunky dory.

Why sexualize when you can treat women as people?

This oppressive sexism bothers me. It is as though the gaming world is dominated by male sexual and power fantasies.

How is it oppressive?  Really, do people just toss that word onto anything to make themselves look more
favourable?

Reminds me of those "oppressive" Dragon age female armours thread we had.

I absolutely treat them as people. I love women. They're one of my favourite genders, so if anyone feels oppressed by my comment, let me know.

Or make a dick joke, that'd be cool too.

Because obviously, women don't have breasts. Those are constraints that the male overlords have placed upon them for oppression.

It's a waste of money. Nobody even paid attention to them. Not a significant number anyway.

You got the numbers all lined up I'm sure.
Couldn't this argument be applied for any form of advertisement? I'm sure some of us think that what's on the boxart doesn't mean squat, whereas others might think differently-- Referring back to the Infinite & Last of Us incident with boxart. Advertisement has its place no matter what we might think. Levine realized that if he wanted to draw in the shooter boys, then he needed to make the boxart he did - Whereas Naughty Dog realized that sometimes it's better to drop the prententiousness and show what you got swinging around. What is this game about? Etc.

Numbers are the only thing that is important when it comes to advertising. That is the point of advertising.
