Prior to his inclusion in DA2, I had no feelings about him
Cullen: "Mage Warden, I have a crush on you."
Me: "Uh, that's nice. I am not really into Templars, but thanks for that."
Then he's understandably freaking out during the Broken Circle.
Cullen: "The blood mages used your image to taunt me."
Me: "Okay, we'll get you out of here. Just need to deal with some blood mages. Wait, who were you again?"
In DA2, he didn't stand out all that much. He was one of the few sane Templars left, sure...when it had already been made pretty clear that Meredith had been off her rocker for sometime now. I can see why he's going to be in the next game, but I can't understand the love.
I do know that someone at BioWare has to have a type for blonde haired, gold and/or hazel eyed men. Zevran, Alistair, (so both male LIs for Origins. Damn.) and Anders....that's why I would be sadly not too surprised if
Cullen was a LI. If
Cullen is going to be a companion at all. That isn't confirmed, but I do think it looks pretty likely. He's got the looks and the archetype personality.
I don't want to see him as a LI, at all. Nothing against the fans, and those that want to try to romance him in next game. I think he's got some good reasons to be there other than he's "cute." I liked Alistair but
Cullen was just...there.
So, he's fan service because some posters find him cute? Please tell me I'm not the only one that finds him rather bland? Or would rather see him in for story reasons vs a potential love interest?
