You guys are funny  For me, it's not so much about whether I'm attracted to the character... but if my PC is attracted to him/her. I'm a huge Cullen fangirl, but personally yeah I'd choose the Grey Warden. He's a smexy beast, and he looks all strong and capable and sh!t *shiver* But Cullen is an awesome character (in terms of potential and continuing character growth) AND yes he's a fine looking set of pixels. He will go excellently with my inquisitor *rubs hands together devilishly* What can I say, I love gorgeous, well-written characters... lucky for me, that pretty much applies to everything the DA writing team spits out xD

I agree that I like all of the male LIs for DA, ME is also pretty except for a few exceptions though

I love the Grey Warden. The only thing right now is he may resemble Duncan too much. It would be kinda weird to romance someone who I consider a mentor in the previous game.

But the PRIIIZE? I didn't know there's a small fine print saying the prize may cheat on you. Hopefully they don't have similar scenario in DA. It would be a bit annoying to have no control over your LI cheating. It make you feel like you choose wrong. Don't even get me started on Thane.

Why i should care to who peoples who squee my only problem is that cullen is fanservice why all characters you pointed morrigan have pretty much had big role incoming since end of dao and even more pointed in witch hunt , leliana well apparently they had role for her as well (in which i don't belive) but they want make her second andraste or something like that probably.Alistair on other hand was big fanserivice in da 2 i can spare grey warden ali for that but king or even alistair drunk served this purpose. Cullen was fanservice as well he was most likely in da because of his fangirls/boys it was minor character i would say flat character in dao (well much wasn't changed:devil:) and pretty much as you said his reason was to fanboys/girls would squee.

I just don't get the Cullen love, I mean he's ok in Origins, DA2 was bad overall so i don't hold that against him, but there are more interesting characters out there

I can't help but be curious to hear Cullen's thoughts after he was let down, sort to speak, in Fereldan and then Kirkwall. Plus I think it'd be amusing if Vivienne teased him about..whatever she would during a banter. Her manner of speaking seems like fun.

Well, you don't know what role Cullen will play in the next game, so you can't say it's not important. David Gaider stated that he wouldn't include anyone in the game just because the fans are asking for it. If he's in the game, it's because he could potentially impact the game just like with Lelianna and Morrigan. Leliana's cameo in DA2 was pretty much a fan service since it doesn't advance the story. The same way with Zevran and Alistair. I'm not sure where the notion that "female characters are there because they're important while male characters are there for fanservice" coming from. If you want to talk about minor characters, Isabela was very minor in the first game, but she was upgraded into a main character and integrated into the comic books as well.

Nah.  You just act like you have the right to GET them locked when you're no longer interested in them, rather than doing the mature, obvious, common-sense thing of just not participating any more.

Well leliana wasn't fanservice she is strongly involved in mage-templars things and have very high rank in chantry unofficially so she is important figure in chantry.Haha him please he don't have any traits that would put him as important he is blindly devoted , he isn't charismatic , he is incompetent , he is dumb no traits of great peoples unless they do ass pull and make him something like dragonborn which still would be fanservice just enforced especially after mage ending he should be kicked from templar order at best his apparently trait is being "cute" for his fanboys/grils what won't make him important...
As game ended nothing than him being kingt-capitan that failed in doing his job properly causing being is circle most corrupted in thedas ans supporting insane woman and even worse let dangerous apostate escape if hawke was mage in mage ending.

About zevran and alistair i agree they were fanservice as well

What warrior subclass is Cassandra?  Sword'n'board?  Twohander?  Unless Cullen is a different subclass, there'd be too much overlap.

I'm sorry, and how is your attacking me any more mature? You could just do the "mature, obvious, common sense thing" of just ignoring me.

Anyway, you don't know me. You assume that if I could, I would purely lock a thread because I got bored of them. I honestly would only lock (most) threads about Cullen and Anders since they've been more-or-less the same thing everytime. This one was about why a character is considered fan service, rather than about the character themself, and it has been answered. I mean, sure, there are people who would like to discuss Cullen in threads, but this is not about him as a character, rather, about the reason for his possible inclusion in the next game.

I don't know about you, but I've had enough of these theads about the same character/s that have been discussed in so many other threads.
