I may not have this in the right place. So, I looked up how to unlock Barriers in ME3 and it said to talk to Kaiden in the hospital after Priority Palaven, and I did. But Still haven't unlocked it. Is this wrong or am I doin something wrong?
Kaiden didnt give me Barriers.

You only get Barrier once he joins you on the Normandy after Priority: Citadel II(Citadel Cerberus Coup). This is the way Reave is unlocked if it wasn't already unlocked in Mass Effect 2.

I got it after letting him back on the Normandy and talking to him every chance I could. After talking with him a few times it unlocked for me.

Adding onto @themikefest, you get it when you talk to Kaidan on the Citadel when he wants you to have lunch with him. After that, you get it.
