The main theme in the original dragon age was used to great affect, because it was a solid theme.  Make sure the next has that as well.

One of my favorite variants of the theme was during a speech with Alistair  



the main theme was slowed down and more subdued as a backdrop for his speech, and it was the best musical piece of the entire SERIES so far.  

Think of that, and do even better for DA:I
