+1 This is the first that I've ever heard of a silver player not liking a gold/plat player coming down to play. I either go with Gear bonus or Gear bonus w/ lvl 1 consumables to make the match somewhat even. I usually will get a 'GG' or 'Thx for hosting'. Never got a 'go back to gold you scrub'. I've been kicked out of bronze lobbies maybe 3 times. Quite frankly, the only ones that get upset are the adololescent bronze players who get mad because you grenade spammed their match and they didn't get to use their HavocStrike/BC-Rapidfire controller combo. It's ironic considering that the reason I have to step down to replenish creds is the result of multiple bad pugs in Gold/Plat.Kislitsin wrote...

That said, the only thing that makes my game boring is when people who clearly play gold or platinum come to silver and clean house. I don't mind it other than it is boring and not a challenge or even feels like I'm playing.
And what if those people are out of creditrs and med-gels/ops-packs? Should they go into gold with hope there will be another decent player?
I prefer to clear some random silver quickly and continue my gold/plat credit hoarding. Those solos require a lot of consumables, you know.
Why the Flamer hate?

Indeed. My favorite is when all 3 other players go off and die during a hack or escort, so that you basically CANNOT complete the objective yourself, because you simply don't have enough time to finish the upload at +50 or whatever 1 player in the circle gets you, especially if you need to kite enemies away from the objective. Thanks, guys.Aedolon wrote...
Don't get me wrong, I'm all about having fun, and usually I don't pay much attention to pugs when I play. But there are times when they do stupid things you just can't ignore. Those escorts and hacks don't do themselves, and I'm not ass enough to ignore them.
On a different note, I've decided that henceforth, when playing a flamer character, I will always spray my teammates with flamer, as much as possible, for the entire game, because of reasons.

Cognizant=/=worried. If I'm playing a volus using shield boost, I keep in mind that it can throw off other players timing and/or lock up their weapons/powers. If I'm a juggy then I don't throw hex shield around indiscrimately. If I'm playing a duration TC Inf then I don't spend majority of game cloaked. If I'm playing Flamer/SF character, then I don't bumrush a crowd where my teammates already have them under control. I do those things not because I'm worried, but because it has a negative impact on our team performance.Strict31 wrote...
A lot of people spend a lot of time worrying about what someone else is doing.
I was in a gold match tonight with a pair of Vorcha flamers who just flamed the ass out of everything that came close to them. They routinely flamed all the things and I responded by routinely setting off the fire explosions they unwittingly primed. They made for fine bullet-stoppers.
At no point was I capable of giving a single or multiple sh** about what they were doing. I dunno if they had fun in that match, because they died left and right. But I had fun.
We all like to use scrubs for cannonfodder, but what good is that if the one person who's going to have to ultimately clutch or carry the game is dead because the scrub if firing indiscrimately. Some people don't know better because of lack of experience, others just don't care.

I had to ask why b/c I'm a relatively new player to the ME3sphere. As for me being cognizant of my teammates, I am. I always pick a loadout to compliment my teammates. If there's another biotic, I play Fury. If there are a bunch of soldiers, I play a Geth Trooper, b/c if there aren't biosplosions to effectively tear down armor, then Flamer works better than any of your guns, bar none. I can hit multiple targets all queued up in a chokepoint with no problem. Also, I don't stand next to my teammates and spam it indiscriminately, I flank the bosses and melt them from behind. I understand, based on a lot of these comments, that the noise is annoying (it annoys me too and I'm the one using it) and that it can be vision-impairing, but again, only if you're right beside or behind your teammates. That's not how I play. So, overall, the effect on my teammates is a lot less armored enemies to kill. +1 imo
OP that comment wasn't directed at you. It was directed at the general audience of people implying that folks should 'kwitcherbichen'. I generally tend to play on a different side of the map away from indiscrimate flamers, because I know I run the risk of getting shot down in a critical moment.
