Point 2 is nonsense unless you think Mordin was in on it too, since he thought it made perfect sense.

Most of this is just metagaming. anyway.

How could Mordin have been in on it? He was not. Mordin put the parts of the puzzle together and noticed that it had to be the collectors/reaper much like you can do with TIM at finding out that he is the next pawn.

The only race that the reapers wanted to harvest was humans and wipe out every one else.

EDIT...The rest is not metagaming because the things that I mentioned is in or said in the actual game.

The main "moral" issue here is simply thinking humans deserve better than be some galactic plaything for freaks and giant robots (or whatever comes their way). That's the only thing worth fighting for in this setting. Humans -- especially colonists it seems -- keep getting victimized. Bioware keeps trying to drive that point home.. about how hard it is for humans to just settle down somewhere and live in peace. If I get in character, this is where my "moral outrage" comes from. Caring about victims. If you want to call that a "crusade" and laugh at it, whatever. I think it's important to let the dead have some dignity and not further be used as tools. Their lives already sucked bad enough.

So, to restate your beliefs, your character finds it immoral to use the Reaper technology because he or she feels that it is disgraceful to the victims of the Collectors that they were processed to become nothing more than tools, correct?

"Belief" is a loaded word. I'm not formulating my opinions from a belief system. It's just a matter of value (and devalue). Everyone has things they place value on, regardless of "beliefs". And to call it a "moral crusade" is vastly overstating or misreading what a simple value orientation is about. It's not like I'm bible thumper or something, just because I didn't want to repurpose human corpses in a video game.

So anyways, f*ck you too. Fair enough? :wizard:

What's a little Reaper tech amongst friends (Synthesis and Control Enders)?

Kinda wish I had the option to tell Hackett to blow up the Crucible instead of Shepards silly run to the red tube thingy.

The Citadel is Reaper tech. The relays are Reaper tech. Anything based on what was left behind by the Protheans, if not actually Reaper tech, is based on Reaper tech.

Anyways, there are some of us who actually like the lines in ME2 about the Collector base being an abomination. I know a lot of people make fun of it, but they can kiss my ass. That's their decision. I had my own.

Well said.

Huh! It seems you believe my statement above was in support of keeping the Collector base? All I was saying is that all advance technology is, if not actually Reaper tech, is based on Reaper tech. Even technology deemed to be Prothean is either Reaper tech or based on Reaper tech. I think I had only one playthrough where I kept the base intact, back when it was impossible to reach the Shepard breath scene even if you racked up as many points as possible with a complete trilogy run (minus MP, which I have no interest in).
