Is it possible (or has anyone tried) to see if Leliana or Zevran are romanceable after you get dumped by Alistair(Non-Hardened) if you make him king?

Problem is, i'm playing a City Elf Female and have romanced Alistair and i don't want Anora to rule (She doesn't get along well with the Alienage, even if you are given a boon)

Yes to both, as long as you haven't permanently friend-zoned them. If you don't have dialogue options remaining to open up the romance paths, then you won't be able to romance them.

yes indeed. my first character was dumped... she was an elven mage...

my character actually immediately began romances with both Leliana and Zevran (rebound and revenge romances), though when forced to choose she chose Zevran.

I am surprised by the number of female players. I just didn't expect so much of them but it's always welcome. I picked several different chars, all with different endings so that I could export my profile into the expansion.

I never made Allister king solo and certaintly never played a female to romance him. But..I am fighting with Anora over the throne after we hooked up at the lands meet

Hey, I went to camp after the epilogue and Leliana yelled at me for being in love with Al...I'd said such things to her! I have no idea what they were, but that's what she claimed.

Heh..my first play through was with a female elven mage. She'd been primarily romancing Leliana, but had said a few good things to Alistair that seemed to get his hopes up.

She convinced him to marry Anora, and afterwords, he came to her room and told her that "he was sorry, but it's over," which I saw as a slightly awkward (she'd been nice to him, and still didn't want to hurt him by saying there was never anything between them, really), and a bit relieving situation (phew, he's gone. No more of that hanging over her time with Leliana).

Playing two playthroughs where in one, my other female elf mage is romancing Alistair to get the Consort ending, and the other is keeping her options open with Lel, Ali and Zev, so that when Alistair breaks up with her, she can seek "solace" in either's arms, then choose which she'll stay with, from there.

..All my men playthroughs don't seem to have the same degree of drama going on in their lives, for some reason..

the only ending your elf mage is going to get with alistair is his bit on the side (translation... his mistress)... and only if you harden him. (or if you use the very tricky mod to make the game think your a human noble at the landsmeet)

Oh, this I know.  He's hardened in that run through, and I use "consort" as a more upstanding term for "mistress" or "adulterous lover."

oh ok then... since the consort of a King is a Queen... i assumed you meant you wanted your elf mage to marry him. you want her to be his semi-official Concubine perhaps? ;)

Hmm, I wonder which dialogue choices permanently turn off the romances for Zevran/Leliana, and which will leave an 'out'?

I must have picked the right ones (to leave a come-back to romance) in my first play-through, because after Alistair dumped my poor little mage, she was very surprised that Zevran, of all people, was still sticking with her, and picked up the pieces.

Leliana on the other hand, constantly falls back into love with my PCs, no matter how hard they try to tell that they only want to be friends.

And no. Definitely no. If Alistair can't commit and be honest about their love, she'll definitely not be humiliated indefinitely by being his 'piece on the side'.

Yes it is possible, and I've played the game to set it up where this will happen, to sort of create my own tragic love triangle. It does, however, require not speaking to Either Zevran or Alistair after a certain point after landsmeet, in intitated conversations (so you don't end up having to choose. After Landsmeet, it's safe to talk again, and since you have been friend-zoned with Alistair, Zevran will continue to pursue you without that annoying "choice".

However, even though friendzoned, Alistair is still "in love" with you, though he can't pursue the relationship, and thus, if you take him to the archdemon battle without taking up Morrigan on her offer, he will sacrifice himself for you. Thus, if you don't want that, leave him at the gate.

Only if you make him king.  If you make Anora solo queen, you and Ali can run off into the sunset together still.

But yes, my first play through I ended up with a rebound romance with Zevran.  Every playthrough since, the only question is if I romance Alistair first so I can dump him for Zevran, or skip that and just romance Zevran.  That story is just THAT good.

@Sabriana

Zevran is pretty easy, I think there's a standard dialogue option "Do you stare at everyone like that?" Don't pick it until after the Landsmeet and you can get him on the romance track easily, and you can still talk to him to get friendly approval. Leliana's tougher, you have to be really careful how you talk to her. Easiest way for me was to just not talk to her after doing her sidequest until after Landmeet, then you can get her on the romance track by asking about her loving Marjolaine.

I think rejecting Zevran when he propositions you by saying "There's someone else" perma friendzones you, much to my chagrin. I was going to end my "spare Loghain" game with him. I romanced Leliana instead and invited Zevran along to rebuild the Wardens.

I'm actually having a post-Landsmeet rebound relationship with, uh, Alistair right now. He dumped me and, as I hadn't slept with him or talked about sex, I was able to reboot the relationship. I'm sure the epilogue will be horribly broken, but it's funny nonetheless.

I make Anora queen when I'm a non noble human, and run away with Alistair to rebuild the Gray Wardens. Because of this I've never been dumped by Alistair before. Even on my first playthrough I made Anora queen. But I've flirted and slept with Zevran and had to break up with him before, and that -20 hit is always a sock to the gut. As I've seen it, you directly have to tell Zevran "we need to end this" to get him to go away. Otherwise he's still into you. Unless of course he is at the point where he confronts you and tells you that you might hurt Alistair and should choose.

So the best course seems to be to get Zev to like you enough not to betray you to Taliesin (sp?) but not enough yet that he'll confront you.

Want a "bug"? I got Alistair on the throne unhardened, as a Female City Elf, and got his Romance to 87(adore) AFTER Landsmeet.

I just handed him Duncan's Shield, and his mother's Amulet. Don't remember the actual conversation with him, but it made me wonder what might happen if I took him back to camp....
