I was shocked when I started by newest Dragon Age II game and went over to talk to Bodahnn about his favorite subject, The Hero of Fereldan.
He just said he was a great gentleman that should go on many more fine adventures.
Um, not going to mention anything about the Hero being a dwarf, like you? A Dwarf Noble, no less? Where's your Dwarven pride, Bodahnn?
I was just curious that their wasn't dialogue about a Dwarf Hero of Fereldan, it just would seem to be the sort of thing that Bodahnn would mention.
[Funny Moment]Oddly Quiet about that, Bodahnn...

I'm not sure, he really didn't have anything special to say to a dwarf warden in origins, and only made a passing comment if you mentioned it.
Not to mention I don't think he has much respect for dwarf nobles, after a confrontation with one was the reason he left Orzammar in the first place.

Bodahn's comment about the Hero of Ferelden only changes depending on their gender and whether or not the Hero is dead.
If it's any consolation, no one ever mentions that the Hero was a City Elf either.

Oh, and if the (female) Hero is married to the King of Fereldan or not. He definitely mentions that.

...and mention is made if the Hero was a mage, though oddly nothing about him/her dabbling in blood magic
