I'm having an issue with a couple of files I downloaded for a specific build I wanted to make. Here are the links:

http://nwvault.ign.c...r.detail&id=126
This is Draco's Mystic Theurge pack.
http://www.nexusmods...nter2/mods/88/?
This is the Playable Half-Celestial and Half-Fiends pack.

I have to put a dialogue.tlk from each file into the Neverwinter Nights 2 folder in My Documents, but either way I go SOMETHING gets messed up. If I do the one from Draco, it removes all the text and whatnot from the half celestial mod and whatever racial feats/backgrounds and stuff, but when I use the one from the half celestial mod the text and whatnot is removed from the classes and some of the feats/spells I have to pick. What do I do? I'll try and upload screenshots if needed.

Suggestions

- this is not user friendly.

I'd use TlkEdit2 to investigate the two files to see if they conflict. If they don't, i'd copy the missing lines from one file to the other. If they do, I'd copy missing lines from one file to new lines in the other, then carefully go through scripts etc & update their .Tlk references.

It's an effort and chances to screw up are high,

I tried to look into the tlk files and it looks way too complicated for me. I heard there was a way to edit the Racialsubtypes.2da file to allow the use of HC that way without using the tlk file from the HC mod I downloaded. Is it possible?

UPDATE: I merged the two files using WinMerge and I have the new Dialogue.TLK file. How do I edit the references you said?

Winmerge won't do it i don't think -- there's binary headers in .Tlks that I doubt it handles correctly. It turns out to be trickier than i thought:

check this out. Take#2

So I just add both of those to my override folder and then move the Dialogue.TLK to the NWN2 folder in My Documents?

EDIT: Yeah, I just tried adding those files and the Dialogue.TLK to the documents folder and it kept doing the same thing. The three classes supposed to be brought in by the Theurge pack don't have text and the description is missing. Plus when I go to select a race the half-fiend selection has no text or description and then some of the feats/spells have no text or description.

k, think i got it.

was a mixup w/ TlkEdit2 - what a gem but it's the best we got. have updated the link:

just unzip to Override and put Dialog.Tlk up in myDocs/NwN2, you know the drill :)

oh, and make sure there's nada still hanging around that shouldn't be. Note it probably won't work perfectly, it's just a mash i did... gives me time away from precompiled header errors elsewhere.

gawd, now i gotta go back to them, anyway, good luck and let me know if it works ok

OMG bro. You're like a god. Thank you so much for taking the time away from your stuff to help me with this, you don't have any idea. Hopefully we can get this stickied or something so other people don't run into the same issues.

/nah. let it roam the wilderness for a while..

I can see why you'd want those two combined, after looking at them - sounds cool: Half-Celestial Ultimate Magus, eg.

half-fiend eldritch theurge....

i guess it won't be a while till ya unlock the prestige classes (and if you're using SoZ, the Swashbuckler looks like it's replaced, to what degree, by the SoZ swashbuckler) -- so if a blatant issue pops up later, give us a post here.

Or, after backing up files you'd like to change, dive into it yourself either way.

Thank ya kindly. There is an issue where I go to my memorized spells in my spell book and I want to see the description it's completely blank, but when I add it to my hotkey bar it has the full discription when I right click. I'm not sure if that's something that can be fixed easily or not, but you've done quite enough. :) Thank you very much.

btw i Looked into your right-click on a SpellIcon issue a bit.

It's working properly on my end here (with a very clean \\Override folder); RMB drops a menu, one option of which is Examine.

all i can say is it deals with the custom .XML gui that comes with the Class Addition Pack.

when i dragged a spell to my hotbar and RMB'd it, there was no dropdown menu and like yourself I got the Examine popup immediately.

The only thing i can think of is there might be another of these files in either your Override, or below that under /ui, /ui/custom, or /ui/default:

spells_known.xml
contextmenu.xml
examine.xml

that might be creating a file-priority conflict.

Yeah, I noticed that when I made my Half-Celestial cleric. Both Bevil and the other chick leveled twice and I wasn't even halfway to 2. :/

EDIT: I just went to take a look at the documents/Neverwinter Nights 2/overrides  folder and I searched up each different file name and there was only one copy of each.

also look down in

documents/Neverwinter Nights 2/ui

other than that its just something to live with i guess

[edit] it seemed half-fiend/celestial get quite a few more points to put into primary abilities, which could go a long way toward making up the ECL difference.
