Question about omega 4 Relay, just curious why did the reapers make it red?
its not a spoiler its in the launch trailer.

Well it will all explain itself soon enough. But think about it, were we even supposed to make it through that relay yet? Shepard just for the first time eve postponed a reaper invasion, the Omega relay might be a possible fail-safe trap to lure sentient life in just in case something like this happened.

In all seriousness, as jzier said we'll probably just have to wait to find out if there's any significance

the devs made it that way so that :

1.you can tell it has some greater connection to the reapers (same red lightning as sovereign)

2. you can tell it is unique from other relays.

3. you can tell that points 1 and 2 are basically the same.

Because the Omega 4 relay is the badass black sheep of the relay family. Ships don't fail to return from Collector space because of the Collectors. No, don't be silly. Those ships were deemed UNWORTHY of the Omega 4 relay's services, and so it slammed them into the nearest available planet.
