I've been through pages and pages of topics detailing how to add custom headmorphs to the character creation. I've gotten it to work before, but I just switched to Windows 8 and have had to reinstall everything and none of my headmorphs from the toolset will work.
I've saved it as a .mop file, moved it to the override folder, and edited the chargenmorph file. When I try to make a new character, the game crashes if I select the custom head morph. I've also tried replacing the existing morphs instead of making new ones, but I get the same result.
It's been a long time since I've messed with this stuff, and I just can't remember how I got it to work before. Have I managed to miss something, or could this be a Windows 8 thing?

It should have nothing to do with 8.
If the game is crashing when you select the MOP, then there is presumably something wrong with the MOP. You need to provide some specifics on how you made it. Perhaps upload the MOP so its innards can be examined.

There's a very bad error in that tutorial. You do not choose Save As and try and save a MOP. All that does is save an MRH with the wrong extension. If you did that and used that file, that will be what is causing the crash. You must Post to Local to generate the MOP.

Yep, that would be the problem. It's all working perfectly now.
Thanks!
