I guess what i really want to know is, what are the minimum amount of health/shields that would allow you to survive a warp ball if you get hit with full shields, and have a single health bar left.

A single health bar on which character? I think it's roughly 1000 on gold (including the DoT part - unmitigated by cover or DR)

any character he means.
on Gold, the damage is about 80% and on Platinum, it's about 90% or 99% not sure, but that's what damage looks like to me.

700(+280 dot over 8 seconds) on gold
840(+336 dot over 8 seconds) on platinum

This.

It's a flat impact damage amount followed by DOT. Both numbers can be reduced by DR powers or actions like dodge, melee and cover. It's good idea to dodge, melee, or take hard cover before the warp ball is going to impact even if you think you're still going to get hit because the DR will reduce the impact damage. You can bump into cover again to reduce the DOT damage as well.

Banshee warp made me freeze 7 seconds till extraction with way over 40,000 points more than a guy with Wraith X and all I had was a Locust.

The banshee obviously specced into stasis instead of warp

I just tripled the score of a Javelin GI using a Vorcha Sentinel with a Collector Sniper Rifle.

What? I thought we were doing irrelevant brag posts.

There is also that x1.4 damage multiplier that enemies receive against you whenever you are 'out of cover'. The Banshee's warp-like projectile attack is slow enough that if you are in hard cover then its damage should not matter, barring map glitches or the like, since it is unlikely to hit you in that state. So in essence the damage value/threshold is a bit higher than the listed value, since you would almost always have to be out of cover when struck by it.

Regardless, the real threat of her biotic attacks is not their impact damage, it is the damage over time aspect: keeping your shields/health from regenerating and allowing weaker enemies to assist in finishing you off. The Banshee becomes more of a support unit after the duration of her charged 'teleporting' phase has worn off or she has been knocked out of it; she is basically there to seize point, soak up damage, DoT and/or force you into cover, all in order to allow her minions to catch up and flank you.

You know, I was kind of expecting a "Banshee Warp damage is too damned high" meme pic by now ...

If you want to survive getting hit with a banshees warp ball while outside of cover, without getting shield gated, so that the DoT doesn't take effect, you need more than 980 shields on gold.

I don't play platinum, but I think you need more than 1176 shields to survive a platinum warp ball.

A kit with 600 base shields with full fitness will just survive a gold warp ball by the skin of their teeth, due to having 990 shields that way.

This is why a full fitness FQE makes more sense than a full fitness HEng for example, the quarian just barely makes the threshold, while the human doesn't.

I still need to respec some of my vanilla humans, come to think of it...

I fairly sure the impact damage is double this, so 1400 on gold and 1680 on platinum. I think the dot is correct.

Wow....just wow. If you don't know, don't freaking answer. It's not hard. All your made up answers do is confuse people that don't know your full of crap.
