Oddly, my biggest question is why they bothered to show Endor instead of more Hoth. Hoth is arguably way more interesting with AT-ATs, Air speeders, the tautauns or something rddey-majig.

So probably three maps per planet. Makes sense, I guess. The original Battlefront had two maps for each planet (with the exception of Geonosis and Endor which each had one) which ended up being 16 maps in total.

What about galactic conquest? Is it in the game?

I believe it is still unconfirmed whether it is in or not.  However, I'd say that it is very unlikely considering that there are only four planets.

Do you remember the time that we had more than 4 planets to fight on?

Plot twist. Instant actions galactic conquest and space battles will all be DLC packages with all the other planets. Selling torches and pitchforks at 10 bucks a pop.

The wet blanket's that are bellyaching all over the place will never be happy till someone miraculously digs up the canceled BF3 in a state of complete working order and releases it for free and hand delivered to each and everyone by a unicorn riding goddess that grants wishes.

Nah, some of us want to see Battlefront evolve and expand.

The problem is this game is sounding more and more like a devolution with prettier textures.

I'm hoping that Battlefront will be good, problem is the more we hear about, the more it sounds like Battlefield: Star Wars.

I have expected nothing but Battlefield Star Wars and It does look like DICE is heavily adjusting the formula so that it's something a little more different than I expected.

I'm going to wait until the game is released before I make a judgement on it. But I can easily understand why people are upset.

I'll wager at least 85% of that will be paid DLC. Why Disney chose EA I'll never know.

You are really reaching there. It isn't that, though I would have preferred that game to what we are currently having released. The issue is the fact that a game released 10 years ago had more content than what is being released now. Heck, even Battlefront 1 seems to have had more content. And before someone gets the bright idea to point out the graphics are shinier, that's great, but I don't care how shiny the graphics are (as long as they are within reason). The gameplay and experience should come first. Anyone that thinks otherwise, well, I don't know what to tell them...

The reality of the situation is that DICE spent too much of their development time focusing on making things pretty and not enough towards a complete experience (which I bet will be sold as a bunch of overpriced DLC. It's also possible that they are just so out of touch with reality and fans). I can understand that they wanted to release the game right before Episode VII, but they should have delayed it until Rogue One or Episode VIII or IX came out, because this is not Battlefront. They should have named it something else, but they took the easy way and named it such so as to gain more sales due to nostalgia and misconceptions brought on from the brand. The also didn't add a 3 at the end so they could spout their crap about it being their vision for Battlefront and not be held accountable to the standards that are expected from a Battlefront game. If this game does poorly then EA is probably going to think "Well, I guess Battlefront isn't relevant anymore. Ax it" and that's going to be the effect of it sharing the name of something that it doesn't truly represent. So every outrage from the Battlefront community is completely justified.

I just want it to be known that ten years of waiting and built up rage is trying to make into this post and I'm trying really hard to keep it out. It truly frustrates me that it took this long to see the Battlefront name make its way back to main stream consoles, especially since it is my second favorite Star Wars series (right behind Kotor, which also hasn't been to consoles in over 10 years. The Old Republic doesn't count). It's so unjust and uncool. My wishes for this game aren't that hard to meet. All they had to do to make me happy was have a campaign, space battles, and galactic conquest. Stuff from Episode VII would have been cool as well, but not needed to make my day. That seems to be what a lot of people want from it based upon all the angry comments I've seen.

EA was willing and able to pay the most. It was simply business.

I know it won't happen but i'd love it if they used the musical scores from original trilogy like with Battlefront 2.

Hearing this track would always bring out the clutch player in me.

Lets be honest, it's going to sell gazillions no matter what bootyblasted Battlefront fans on the Internet feel.

They knew that they could get away with it because of the brand and they're right. They've got a massive fanbase and one that is desperate for Star Wars games. It absolutely sucks, I'd love for nothing more than variety. Especially to have Obsidian make a new Star Wars RPG.

Peoples thoughts on Battlefront are misguided nostalgic self induced brainwash just like the Fallout guys song and dance about FO3 not being just like FO1&2. Just like Halo guys pissing and moaning about Halo Reach, 4, and 5. Just like Star Trek TOS guys vs TNG guys vs Abrams Trek guys. Just like Gaben vs the making a game in a series go to number 3. Just like Hollywood always rebooting movies in sadly horrific ways.

To roll back to the topic on hand even if the new Battlefront is just a empty multiplayer in the same vein as Titanfall the bottom line is if the game is fun to play then who the heck really cares what is or isn't in the game, it's still fun to play.
