So 2 days ago I noticed that my character story progress stopped updating (English version of the game, there shouldn't be any special characters). To make matters worse, yesterday all my characters just got wiped from the online database. No particulalr reason, I was checking the profile diagnostics and suddenly there was an Error 1000 and everything was gone.
So I tried to re-upload my main guy and after waiting for like 2 days, he finally appeared.

But the problem? The story tab is completely blanked out.

Well, I tried re-uploading my character, deleting the character_story.xml file, checked all the sticky threads, used a search function and nothing helped.
Again, I am also playing on an English version, so there shouldn't be any special characters or letters in the save file (which would prevent the online profile from updating) nor was I using the console and I have data uploading on in the settings.

It's really annoying, because I was planning my DA:O and DA2 'perfectionist' playthrough and this really bothers me because of my sort-of-OCD.

So any help, please? :crying:

Thanks for the answer. But my problem is more about the said story section being completely empty rather than dissapearing characters (I re-uploaded them again)... or is this perhaps somehow tied together?

Well I am willing to try it anyway but I am playing on the PC and it doesn't give me any option for syncing my profile (apart from the PS3 and XboX version that  I don't own). *shrugs*

EDIT: Scratch it, I just reloaded a much earlier save (5 hours worth of playtime) and started anew. Story tab appears again.

Sorry for ressurecting my thread again, but it seems that this time I have ran into a much bigger problem.

(seemingly unrelated to the site)
1. After starting up Origin yesterday, I did get some little tiny update. (DALauncher exe dissapeared, but I could still play the game).
However, upon entering the game, all my mods apart from DLCs were gone. Looking into the Documents/Addins folder however revealed they are still "installed" but don't show up ingame, thus preventing me to play from my latest save.

2. About the DA: profile here on social.bioware, I can't access Profile Diagnostics, Manage Screenshots and Characters and my character never updates. All it says is Unable to connect to the online storage server.
All I can think of is that I changed (sucessfully) my password on Origin before that. Could it be somehow related?

I consulted the forums, FAQ, cried, screamed and growled in frustration.
I also tried to contact the support. Had a chat with one of the employees and he couldn't do much apart from forwarding my problem about the social.bioware profile to some "specialized team". Haven't heard anything since that, and it's been a while now.

So eh... anyone ever had a similiar problem? Got any advice about that? I'd really like to play the darn game and do my ultimate playthrough, yet there is always something that prevents me from doing so.

Dunno if you figured out a way around this. The Origin updates have been playing havok with my DAO install. One earlier this year basically made the game unplayable and I had to do a complete re-install.

Anyway, for the last update, the one that got rid of all the DLCs (and also took DAO: Awakenings out of the Origin installed games), I downloaded all the DLC .dazip files from my profile's authorized content lists, and installed them manually with the daupdater utility. At least I can play the game now... until the next "patch".

Well, it didn't delete the DLCs, just all the mods and addons I had.

Mods not showing up is usually an issue witt the Addins.xml file. Sounds like you got some kind of reset with the patch.

Have you tried just clearing out the mods installed in the My Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\Addin folder (leaving the DLCs alone if there are any there) and reinstalling them from the original .dazip files?

Can't help you with the profile issues. Now that I've checked, the same thing is happening to me. Maybe they froze it with the other photo features on the website.
