I cannot decide between playing as a human or a qunari.

At first I was set on playing as a Qunari, but now, human is starting to feel appealing again.

I am very interested in reading about real life history such as the Templar Crusades. And now with the ability to play as a human leading the Inquisition which feels like a religious monastic military order (that does not make it so, however) yet I think about playing as a human who leads the Inquisition as a military order on its own crusade against magic, traitors and demons, or whatever it will face in DAI. Is anyone a bit conflicted about what race and how they will lead their Inquisition? I am very excited to seeing more news from DAI when the Dev diaries get released.

I'm excited to play as a Qunari. While as a Vashoth, we are not constraint by the Qun teaching, we're still being perceived as simply a Qunari by the larger world. It would be kinda fun to play as a cynical Qunari who, despite trying his best, still being looked with suspicion. I can't wait to meet up with the Arishok and offer him a cookie stole from a fat kid. I wonder if the Arishok would consider our Vashoth a Kadan if we help him with whatever problems he has to gain his support. I would be pretty sad if we force to kill him though since the Arishok and Shale are in my top 5 favorite characters from DAO.

We're actually Tal-Vashoth, plus we dont know if we're going to see the Arishok

Gaider said Vashoth only a few minutes ago on another thread.

My main game will be as an human inquisitor (I'm predictable like that) but my secondary run will be undoubtly as an F!Qunari warrior. It would be interesting to see the outraged reaction of members of the Qun.

Just do what I do and play as everything. That's the whole point of multiple playthroughs/characters. ;)

My suggestion is a City Elf if they're available.

Frankly, I'm starting with a Qunari purely for the novelty aspect.

Flip a coin. If you're not upset with the result, then go with it. If you are upset with the result, pick the other one!

All my important life decisions and handled this way.

I'm not planning to play human until the fourth or fifth playthrough simply because I'm human IRL.

I like getting the "Opposite" perspective first. Stronger first experience.

I am very curious about playing as a non-human mage. I suppose I have plenty enough time to decide. It'll be fun.

If you can't choose between the two, choose a Dwarf as they are superior to all of them.

Honestly I feel like a Qunari would be a great candidate to head a spartan, martial, rigid, military order -- especially against mages, demons, and traitors -- maybe even better than a human!

ETA: I realize that the Qunari PC will be Tal Vashoth but he/she could have traits similar to Qun followers.

I almost always start off human to get the feel of a game but in this case, theres no way im not leading a militarily focused faction of badasses in my first play through without a Qunari leading the army

That's just stating the obvious since dwarves are born out of rock.

Qunari. Human is standard and boring.

Plus, human was the only option last game. Branch out! Try new experiences!
