I cannot decide between playing as a human or a qunari.

In your opinion. I love playing different races, but I don't find playing as a human boring at all.Faerunner wrote...
Qunari. Human is standard and boring.
Plus, human was the only option last game. Branch out! Try new experiences!

Elf all the way
Although I am not sure what class I want to be. Rogues are almost always my favorite but I loved the mage class in DA2. If I can still get up close in personal in a fight with my mage I may go that way. I cannot wait til we actually see the classes in action for DAI.

On the one hand, DWARVES ARE BACK!!! And they are clearly the best species in the DA universe, just ask Varric. On the other hand, I played a rogue first in DAO and a warrior first in DA2, and a qunari would allow me to complete the set and play as a mage. And we've never been able to play as one before. Also, horns.

Once I get the release date I am actually IRL, gonna block a few days off on my calendar to just play DAI at my leisure. I will stock up on Coke-a-Cola, tea and good junk food, put the local Chinese food & pizza shop on speed-dial, and turn off the ringer on all of my phones and dig in!

Not that it should have any impact on your decision, but what I tend to do with games like this is start with what seems closer to myself. So in the case of DA:O, my first was a human male warrior, then branched out from there. Of course, I did play DA:O like 10 times over the years, and DA2 4 or 5 times, so I'm hardly the picture of decisiveness.

You know, I think I'll do the same. I should get a man-cave set up sometime before DA:I comes out. Maybe I should get started now...AutumnWitch wrote...
Its a tough choice who to play because if the game is big was they say, it will take some time for each run through....

Sounds like a plan! I just have to decide PS3 or PS4....(ducks at all the daggers and arrows from the PC Elites)

But I think I'll play as a qunari the second time simply because they're new

Once you go dwarf you'll be back for your second, third and fourth.

In the end I decided I'm going to stick to my original plan and be a male Elf rogue. I love the idea of a flippant overly-nice and rather scrawny male Elf leading the Inquisition and acting as something of an antithesis to Cassandra. Especially if she turns out to be a LI option.
I'm going to have to be a Qunari at least once though, probably on my second playthrough when I eventually get to it.

I don't blame you as I'm still torn between the two. A Human Templar would look more like the "Classic" paladin, but Qunari undoubtedly have the badass factor to consider. I'm not sure if they're bothering with racial bonuses yet, but it's something to keep in mind once they start mentioning more features.

Gotta go with the Daish elf to start myself, but Quanari definitely has to happen for my 2nd run.

These games have almost infinite replayability if you have that kind of time on your hands.

I agree about good problems. I disagree that a Dwarf should be number 1 or 2 on your list

I played through all the Origins stories in DAO before I ever started Ostagar. Just couldn't make up my mind

But I'll get to the dwarf, I'm curious to see the state of House Cadash in the "modern" age.

You have never been a qunari, nor will you ever be, since qunari don't exist.
I hope I have helped clarify this decision for you.
