So I was just wondering if the Drell Assassin can compete or even beat the Geth Infiltrator in terms of damage. I don't see any stats around as per damage but let's talk gameplay because that's what really matters. I really can't decide though I would almost favour Drell( he's so much fun to play).
So what do you guys think...

To me, drells are better than every other character in this game.
So, DI > GI.

If the players are equally skilled, GI.

Otherwise... Usually still GI.

Drell comes close.  Very close, in my opinion.

I guess maybe the Geth infil is probably the most OPed character but I always feel absolutely untouchable with Drell Assassin and have so much fun. Also I can do without the Geth vision(took time getting used to that).

the rof boost on the geth, the faster shield regen, the higher accuracy, the many mutiplacative bonuses from many sources, the GI is in it's own league, and no other character can match his sustained damage output on any non single shot weapons, even on single shot weapons,

only the aiu can match him on two weapons, the claymore, and reegar, IIRC, the former because single shot, the latter because rof boosts reduce it's power

The GI is much much better than the AIU with a claymore. We shall not speak of the other abomination you mentioned.

So yeah, agreed, the GI is just above.

How?
of these two

Is there something I'm missing, because the aiu does more damage per shot, and the claymore does not benefit from rof bonuses, so aside from accuracy, the aiu is just as capably in terms of damage dealing with the claymore

I'm better with the GI (I don't think I've extracted once with the DI) but I like the idea of the DI a lot. I just suck royally with him.

The Drell Assassin holds down the line way better than the GI. So if you are gonna camp, the mine is amazing as constant debuff and cleanup with power amplifiers, allowing you to take down wave after Platinum wave of full health minions and weakened armored enemies without breaking a sweat. In maps like Giant and White, you can stay in one spot and take on the hordes by your lonesome without dying once.

However, in a full team, spawn rushing and nuking, with everyone doing their own thing, the GI is better than any other character in the game. There's just no way to compete with it. The Drell has to deploy his mine constantly, and in the time it takes to arm it, detonate it and re-deploy, the GI already has mopped the floor with everything, no matter what difficulty setting you chose.

They are good for different things really.

Salarian Infiltrator comes in second since he does possess the proxy for stagger and debuff. The energy drain really helps him too.

Damage per shot isn't everything.

The accuracy boost is, effectively, a damage boost to anything that's further away than 5 m. And a big one at that.

Other than that, the claymore actually does benefit from rof bonuses. although not fully. 15% more RoF will result in something like 7-8% faster overall recharge speed. It's small, but it's there.

And there's also the fact that PM does more damage than SF, so in the damage per cloak cycle calculation the GI has yet another advantage.

Plus, you compared them both with a shotgun gear, while realistically the only way their performance is going to be roughly equal is if the AIU takes the geth scanner. Which drops the damage per shot to 6.4 k.

Finally, Narida is not always right. Its results do not seem suspicious to me this time, but... Better be aware of it.

All in all, the +25% accuracy makes the entire world of a difference.

Edit: moreover, you (maybe accidentally?) selected fitness 6a for the AIU, which gave her a 25% boost over which she certainly cannot rely. Take that away and her damage per shot becomes 5892, close enough to the GI's. Add the other differences I mentioned before, and you'll see why the GI is still, once again, superior.
