Obviously infiltrators get TC, some also get nice debuffs&CC (cryoblast) or CC&damage (overload) or debuff&wallhacks (reconmine) or debuff&CC&damage (snap freeze, proxy) but not all of them!!! Also none of them has any form of RoF&Accuracy&Damage increasing powers.
On the other hand, other kits with RoF&Accuracy&Damage increasing powers (MM, DM) have no TC, and either has no debuffs (Destroyer) or has its debuff on a competing cooldown with its debuff&CC (MM vs proxy for TSol).
There are many kits with great synergy of powers (fury, valyrie, paladin, batsol, etc.) but none has the trinity of offensive powers, and hence the synergy that the GI can offer. Tbh, in this sense it is not fair to compare other kits to GI.
The DI obviosuly is a very good kit, it has two out of three (TC, debuff&wallhack&damage) and nice passives on top of that, but it also has a wasted power slot in homing grenades (WTF?). IMO a CC&debuff would fit him better (like cryoblast or sabotage).
All in all, it could be close race but I would put my money on the javelin GI.

I didnt find anything special other than the majority of his HP regenerates as its his shield.
As for the Javelin I find this to be a very hap hazard weapon and unless you're consistently getting headshots the BW and the Widow out perform it. This is due to them being far easier to use.
Maps like London and Rio the Javelin rocks as long as everything is coming towards you, enemies going across your field of view are much more of a challenge and the other snipers seem superior.

I also chose shotgun amp because it is the max bonus, and if you are dropping your dps for some frivolous vision bonus than you can't say the other is better with the amp
I'm outta here...

I usually place mine at beginning of wave one and don't move it but once or not at all. 20% debuff to multiple enemies is awesome.b00g13man wrote...

The GI and I occasionally hang out, but we don't really "get" each other.

I normally agree with your posts, but invalidating MGW7's math because of geth scanner is a bit silly. You're making it out like Geth Scanner is mandatory. What did we all do before it existed? Well, we typically put on damage boost gear, that's what.
I like the Geth Scanner as much as the next guy, but my AIU wears Shock Trooper gear into Plat. Keep in mind she has a grenade power too. I don't use it all that much, but if a wave gets particularly messy, I might want more than 2. I don't miss Geth scanner on her.
Of course, I'm a scrub, so...

I understand MG is making some theoretical calculation, and that's why his results do not couple well with practical experience. However, he seemed to be aware of that (kind of, I think) so as long as he's happy with that, all is good.
The last comment was more directed at calling the scanner "some frivolous vision addon", or something like that, which is... Well, you know
I'm not saying the scanner is mandatory on her. I do know that she has grenades and that to keep up with the GI she needs to burn through them (to keep up in speed), and that's yet another point the GI has as an advantage, but I didn't want to make it complicated and kept them out of my reasoning.
What I was saying is that if you want to have any chance to keep up with the GI, then you have to equip the scanner. Why? Cause he already has it, so... He can wallhack and you can't. It's like saying that he's using a rifle and you're using a dagger.,. If you want to have any chance of your AIU comparing with the GI, you have to "upgrade" your dagger to a pistol at least and take the scanner.
And, when there was no scanner there was no AIU either... And the main reason why the GI was considered heaps and bounds above everything else in the game was wallhack. Everything else was enough, as the advent of the scanner showed, to keep it above even when everything else was given wallhack, but... It was all secondary.

Secondly, although I am just about capable at platinum level, I stick mostly to lolgold as I find it to still be a challenge whilst fun. Platinum is rather infuriating and tedious to me, hence avoid it.
So, to my opinion. I have completed a few solo gold runs, and by far the easiest was with the Drell Assassin. I have completed 1 GI gold solo which felt like I was hanging on in later waves. The DAI and AIU gold solos felt about as hard as a team gold match, with DAI easier than AIU.
I am not telling others they are right or wrong when claiming any of these 3 characters are the best, simply what my opinion is based on practical analysis.
That is all.
