Some really awesome cosplays! Props!
I wonder, does applying some oil on armor would make it look more shiny? Could make it look even more authentic.

I don't think they use real metal for most of this stuff. More than likely they use plastics or foam because it is easier to shape or make. I doubt putting oil would really help or it might actually damage it in the case of foam.

Not to mention probably a lot more comfortable to walk around a crowded convention hall for 12 hours a day in something plastic or foam-based than metal, I'd imagine.
Very nice Maria.
I hope this doesnt come as insulting...but ever though of being AVELINE! I think you could pull it off in an awesome way !

I do have an Aveline!!!
My first DA cosplay!
If there were a prize the internetz could award for cosplay, you two would win it!
Great job!
As we all know, Dragon Age II was ruined because the companions had unique uniforms, and this was done solely to appeal to the incredibly powerful cosplay lobby. This group of "fans" fails to spend their time complaining about things online, but instead engages in creative projects, goes to cons, and are mostly friendly and positive. The gall!
And then make snarky, sanctimonious jabs at people who have a different perspective!

A lot of talent there, and nice tutorials for someone who'd like to try out some cosplay.

While I appreciate the work they put into it, I can't help but be slightly embarassed for people who go out in public dressed in these outfits.

Hey! Don't you go insulting my brother! He put a lot of work into that loincloth and pasteboard sword.

What, you mean like going shopping in costume? I believe most people dress up at events or gatherings such as conventions, or for videos or photoshoots. Not quite the same as going out in public.

Then you are truly missing out on the magic of cosplay.
