That thing repulses me.. I can't believe we can even take it as a prop. I don't do that.

I didn't even know you could until I logged into the BSN afterwards. I only clicked on it a couple times.

I have read on the forums though that can also been seen in the background during that final romance cutscene prior to Cronos. Posted Image

Way to spoil the mood, Bioware. That is disturbing.

That husk head? Thing is the bees knees and is the only one other than Space Hamster™ that should be aloud in Shepard's quarters.

Space Hamster doesn't approve of that husk. You're just scaring the poor guy.

Imposter. That isn't Space Hamster. You've killed him and replaced him.

Seriously, Cortez doesn't get a mention until page 10? :(

Anyway, While I did romance Kaidan on my first ME3 trilogy run with a male Shepard, my digital heart really belongs to the ex fighter pilot. It was so surprising and refreshing to finally see an actual gay character (not a PC-sexual) that walked, talked and acted like a regular person. In essence what I saw was...well me. We have similar personalities, and are both minorities on top of being gay as well, and so yea, it was enough so that the first time he said husband when watching the video of Robert, I literally dropped the controller and was staring at the screen with my mouth wide open.

If Miranda had more face time in ME3 i'd put her ahead of Liara probably, but Liara is just so likable.

Tali? The only times when I managed not to end up with Tali was either because it was not allowed in ME1 or because I specifically went for the other options. However it all depends on your personal preferences and frankly if you want to a complete playthrough with the same love interest then you can only go for Tali, Ashley or Liara. The male LI's for that would be either Kaidan or Garrus. The others dont end up so well.

True enough. And yet I choose some of them anyways. They're cool characters that fit with my playthroughs. Even if it sucks.

I kind of hate being "incompatible" with whatever is popular though. I wish I knew what that was like. A lot of things that seem well supported and popular with fans don't register to me much (Liara, Garrus, Tali have sort of become the unofficial faces of Mass Effect.. and I never saw the big deal. Now I have to deal with whatever their fans demand, at the expense of everything else).

Well, you also have to keep in mind that all three of those characters have been around since the first game.

And it's not like they ditched the ME2 characters in ME3, either.

Was she the culprit? I never got to the bottom of that. Thought it could've been Zaeed.

Seeing as how the forum for characters and love interests is closed for whatever reason, I thought I'd open this up.

I have a male Shepard that I'm currently playing, currently replaying ME2. I romanced Liara in ME1 and I SOOOOOO want to remain loyal, but I just love both Miranda and Tali and quite frankly, I stopped playing a bit as I can't make up my mind because I like all three of them.

Simple. Romance Miranda until the end of the game, have your sex scene with her then after the final mission dump her and romance tali and get your Love scene with her. Move on to ME3 with Tali romanced. That way you don't have to worry about Miranda dumping Miranda in ME3. Tali doesn't come around in ME3 until later so you can either get back with Liara or keep the past in the past and stay with Tali.

As for the best love interest? Kaidan Alenko hands down with Jack as a close second and Miranda as a very close third. I used to romance only Miranda and Kaidan but Jack got me, that ****! :D

2 cents doesn't go very far, so here's my $2:
Across all three games the only romances I simply couldn't like were Jacob and Garrus, for very different reasons.  Femshep's "seduction" of Jacob was so aggressively lecherous I felt like a creep just listening to it.  With Garrus it's almost the opposite problem: he's like the ultimate war buddy, brother-in-arms, right-hand man.  There's no Shepard without Vakarian, but somehow that makes the romance just feel wrong to me.
All the others work for me, for different reasons (although I've never yet romanced Cortez or Traynor).  And while overall my favourite love interest as a character is Tali, the most fun I've had playing out a romance was with Kaidan back in ME1.  The conversations where my 2/3 renegade 1/3 paragon femshep intimidated him into being more renegade and/or cynical, and then had to use charm dial him down from full blown xenophobic "alliance should replace the council and rule the galaxy!", and failure meant Kaidan would break up with her for seeming arbitrarily contradictory, were incredibly fun to play with.

I just discovered recently that you can make kaidan more renegade. That's hilarious.
