Damn you Liara for enabling me to live! You should have let me sold to the Collectors and turned into a super-husk!
Why sell at all? How about burying or torching the body?
Or if she is going to give it, why say she did it for herself.. They could have easily had her say she did it for Shepard's mission against the Reapers, but they decided to leave that important part out and make it about her own personal grief and obesssion. What is that all about? Not everyone romances her.
This creates more problems with people. And it does no good for you Liara fans either. You guys take a lot of crap from the rest of us, just because we're annoyed by these things.

All she did was get the body to Cerby (not saying that in a bad way) but Miranda did all the reviving part......you know.von uber wrote...

By 'fan' you mean i don't, to use someone else's phrase, want to 'smash her face in with a rifle butt' then yes I am a 'fan'.
But i suspect not in the terms you are using it.

Well, I don't want to smash her face in either. Not unless she starts acting like her mother. Right now, she's just kidding about that.

I kind of hate being "incompatible" with whatever is popular though. I wish I knew what that was like. A lot of things that seem well supported and popular with fans don't register to me much (Liara, Garrus, Tali have sort of become the unofficial faces of Mass Effect.. and I never saw the big deal. Now I have to deal with whatever their fans demand, at the expense of everything else).
Try being an Ash fan.

I like to know why T'soni didn't tell anybody that she gave Shepard's body to Cerberus? I'm sure Shepard's mother would like to know(if you play as a spacer). The excuse the gives to Shepard about giving him/her to Cerberus is vague and lame.
Given the skepticism that even Miranda has about the Lazarus Project succeeding, I don't see why Liara would tell anyone else. She's left with the distinct impression it's a fool's errand.

And I don't see why she would withold that information. My mother would take the shotgun I bought her and go up to her and ask why she didn't say anything. Regardless of the answer she would say "embrace hot lead alien".RangerSG wrote...

In the dlc she gives Shepard that lame answer. At that moment I realized I'm not playing the femshep I'm used to, but her stunt double. Had it been the femshep I play she would've told her she is full of crap and would want a better explanation.

Those are my favorites as well. Mainly because they're loyal without being yes-people. Honest without being insulting. And they both have a sense of humor. In short, they're good friends before they become lovers. Which, IMHO, is how it ought to be. What race they are is irrelevant, except how it makes my Shepard empathize with their needs, because they do the same for the PC.
The VS's rejection, to my PCs, has always been too cutting to be anything but final. At least romantically. Liara has moments. But the change from initial warp speed to standoffish makes it more believable for me to see that as a failed romance, cut short by the tragedy of Shep's death. Similarly, the knowledge that Thane was dying kept my FemSheps from thinking of him in romantic terms.
Miranda my PCs can't go for because she's willing to destroy their free will for Cerberus. While they might respect that commitment in a detached way. Personally they can't buy that. Whatever remorse she feels for that (much) later. If I play a mentally unhinged Shep sometime, I might try Jack. But that's never really interested me. Jacob? Just no. I can hardly stand him as a crewmate. He never makes it to 'friend' status even. My paragon Sheps invite him to the party to be polite. But they really don't care to see him again.

Garrus is the biggest example of a Yes Man. Approves of Genophage either way. Approves of Geth path either way. Doesn't chew you out for shooting Falere. Doesn't do anything but joke about rachni either way. He's just an approving sounding board no matter what you do. He used to not be this way, but he is now. As much as I don't like Liara, at least she expresses disapproval or a little misgivingness about some of these things.

Not at all, and this is coming from someone who romanced Liara in every playthrough so far and who likes the Asari in general. I never understood why anyone would get so bent out of shape just because someone role played differently than them in a role playing game.
So go ahead, take the Wraith and blow Liara to pieces. Then give whatever is leftover to Mess Sergeant Gardner so he can make some calamari gumbo.
Just one thing, can you send some my way? I haven't had good calamari in a long time.

Unfortunately, Gardner, the Wraith, and Liara have never existed in the same place together. Ever.

I've done Liara and Tali on the male side, and in the end I like Tali's more because of this. Liara just comes on way too strong way too fast in ME1, whereas the Tali romance grows out of respect (in my playthrough. I don't really care if Shepard doesn't respect Tali in anyone else's).
There's more to it than that, such as the whole "you don't know what she looks like" thing being relatively novel in video-game romances. Tali also has better-written ME3 scenes, although Liara's Shadow Broker scenes get the nod from ME2.

She didn't know that opportunistic mad scientist human supremacist douchebags (according to the public perception) would try something dastardly to get humanity's Space Jesus on their side? I don't think so. Even Conrad Verner would smell something fishy.Darks1d3 wrote...
While I'm not arguing against your point since I do agree with it, to be fair, it's not like Liara knew that Miranda planned to do so when she gave Cerberus Shepard's body.
Denial of responsibility is a double standard in this case. It's all or nothing. Either she was instrumental in bringing Shepard back or she wasn't. She was, thus she's responsible.
The obsessive charge is right on the money but I don't see it as a betrayal and I don't see any reason to get pissed at her for it. Alive is better than dead, and there's still a job to do. And yes, it was a stupid twist, and unnecessary to boot. And before we get into Liara obsessiveness or so-called betrayel of Shepard for giving Shepards body to Cerberus, we would have ME2 in the first place. Though I do think the whole killing off Shepard and resurrecting him with Project Lazarus was a stupid idea by Bioware.

Actually, I liked it when Ash was xenophobic and ignorant. She's just a Council stooge now. And wears too much blue.
Not sure if serious....
Very serious.
Click on her in ME1 when you first meet the council. She makes jokes or expresses frustration about the whole situation. Kaidan plays off of her as the one who's always defending them or being in awe of the Citadel. And she was more Renegade in the first game. Always one of the first to advocate things like killing rachni and destroying the Destiny Ascension over all other characters (even Wrex will adjust to save it if Ash is in the squad). She has none of the sassy attitude in 3, let alone the Renegade tendencies. All she does is act lonely and sensitive in her room and talk about her sister. It's weak as hell, compared to the first game.
As for the xenophobic and religious stuff, I think they had balls to write a character like that. She was challenging.
her ME1 character was one of, if not the best and most interesting characters in the trilogy. yeah i said it.
