Does the game mention how old Benezia is? She looks a lot older.

Other than that Aria would seem in her prime not her twilight years haha

No specifics are given, but being a Matriarch, she must be pushing nearly 1000 years.

I think they can alter their appearance though too. If you get drunk in ME2, Aethyta's appearance will change. Not to mention the guys at the bar who all think Asari look like them (turian, salarian, human, etc).

Wait, what? Does it? I have to check this! I never noticed.
I really like Aethyta, she makes (along with Detective Anaya, Aria and Tela Vasir) the Asari much more interesting.

I like all the Eclipse leaders too.

They're all kind of the masculine side of Asari (as much as Asari can have masculine traits at least)

But yeah, just get drunk enough to sway and then talk to her again.

My personal favourites are Tali and Liara and having finally redone a Miranda playthrough with the Citadel DLC I'd add her to the list too. For FemShep I'd say Garrus is easily the strongest romance.

I think its just the mystery drink that changes her appearance, rather than asari mind powers haha

I'll have to try that. Strange how all the interesting Asari appear from ME2. I can't really think of many in ME3 (apart from the Commandos on Thessia).

Because ME2 is badass and almost every character has a streetsmarts or swagger about them. The mood for some reason changes in ME3. I guess being a war story and all does that.

                                                                        Its simple: Ash

Awesome, couldn't agree more. As Shepard said himself: 'I couldn't have done this without you Ash' 'It's always been you'.

Ashely is very misunderstood. Lot of people think she is a xenophobic, ignorant and 'insert another bad word' woman/b*tch.
Yet she is not if you would take the time to get to know her properly. She is a strong, independant woman with strong believes, but with a big heart. And a real soldier and the principles that come with that.
Yes, she has an opinion on aliens but considering her background, it's not that weird she doesn't trust them at first.

Actually, I liked it when Ash was xenophobic and ignorant. She's just a Council stooge now. And wears too much blue.

I'd like to ask who her surgeon was. Especially in the funbag department.

Caould never warm to her, her ME1 charcter I find really off putting. Only once has she made it off Virmire.

Very serious.

Click on her in ME1 when you first meet the council. She makes jokes or expresses frustration about the whole situation. Kaidan plays off of her as the one who's always defending them or being in awe of the Citadel. And she was more Renegade in the first game. Always one of the first to advocate things like killing rachni and destroying the Destiny Ascension over all other characters (even Wrex will adjust to save it if Ash is in the squad). She has none of the sassy attitude in 3, let alone the Renegade tendencies. All she does is act lonely and sensitive in her room and talk about her sister. It's weak as hell, compared to the first game.

As for the xenophobic and religious stuff, I think they had balls to write a character like that. She was challenging.

Well that's just one of them. Mostly they're light jokes about the Council or just generally being unimpressed by them. You just have to click her in different areas. Kaidan's always the more "upstanding" Alliance rep compared to her.

Where in the hell was that ME3 picture of Ashley taken? She is nowhere near that pale in my game, someone needs to check their tv/monitor settings.

Also, the only difference between those two pictures is Ashleys hair, the facial features are the exact same. Have you never seen how different a woman looks when she changes her hairstyle even though everything else is the same? That's what's happening here. No surgery is needed.

She's pale in that scene due to everything being a little lower in color, but the image has also been doctored. For effect, I'm guessing.

Her ME1 lips and chin are different (much bigger lips, more masucline jawline and her chin sticks out more/is much bigger. So is her eye and eyebrow shape, as well as the prominence of her cheekbones. And that's not even considering her additional chest protection.
I just grabbed that image off t'internet, her colour aint really that different.

Just about everyone is frustrated at the council, thats not something unique. Ash never advocated for destroying the Rachni or letting the Council die in my game, she was always the opposite, Garrus and Wrex were always the Renegade advocate in my playthroughs, even Liara advocated for letting the Council die instead of Ash in one playthrough, no one likes them. Her sassiness is still there, usually whenever she's arguing with Shepard. The rest I blame on her change of writer, through it doesn't bother me.

She was never xenophobic, that was Pressley. Ash just reiterated a view held by all world governments, people will look after their own first and foremost before looking after you. This point was proven in ME3 with the Council abandoning earth to try and save their own planets. I wasn't mad though, I saw it coming. There are far more religious squadmates in the trilogy who carry that torch better than Ash did, her beliefs were never as deep as Thanes or even Mordins. There was no need to bring up the same trait in multiple characters.

Sorry, I think you're seeing things that aren't there, probably due to make up. She has next to none in ME1 and in ME3 it's quite obvious she has. Her eyebrows are different yes (bigger, could be make up again), and the angle of her eyes seems different, could be make up, debatable.

Her boobs aren't bigger afaik, it may seem that way because of the suit she's wearing that accentuates them.
All female human models in ME, and perhaps the alien female races as well, use the same skeleton and model, the differences are in the clothes they're wearing.
So that's why it may seem that Miranda has bigger than average boobs, that's just clothing.

For my Shepard it probably has to be Tali. I really was planning on getting back with Ash in ME3, but the extent at which she went with mistrusting my actions really made me rethink my decision. My thought process being that Shepard needs a strong LI that can hold her own as well as help hold Shepard up during difficult times, and Tali really stepped up for that role.

Look at that character development!  So complex!  So mysterious!

Liara is the kind of character who tells you need to care about what the galaxy thinks of humans. That's her schtick. Kaidan comes in second on the scale of playing nice with everyone.. about how we should view aliens as no different than us. "They're jerks and saints, just like us". Ashley's schtick is more defensive and isolated. You can't say they're the same. You're trying a little hard to make her something she was not. Even up to ME2, she explicitly says "I don't like aliens" (she just thinks Cerberus is worse).

edit: Damn, now I can't remember the exact quote. Take it with a graint of salt for now.
