IMO, shield regeneration is only awesome when you max it out with Stronghold V and Shield Gear III. Cyclonics and the Grenade gears or Jug Shields are much better for a krogan melee kit.
Yes, Cyclonic is always best. But then spec for shield regen to be continually in melee. Juggernaut is not good if you check the math - probably because the melee damage is additive and not multiplicative.
This will allow easy Platinum solo when the situation arises. Of course, have to be good and not die
Grenade V is fine if also rolling with Grenade spammers and everything dies, otherwise don't really need that many grenades. I almost always have enough ammo packs to make up the demand. Players who are new to krogan think they have to chuck grenades at every enemy and hide like other classes. Inferno is a dot, and though it does mad damage, it takes 8 seconds to do so.
