Miranda wins!

I was on insanity, Miranda's loyalty mission. At the final fight I went around the battlefield killing all the mooks first, leaving Garrus and Miranda to fend for themselves. Garrus went down in about 5 seconds, but by the time Enyala was left, Miranda was still standing. Enyala had almost all her barriers up and was ignoring me and targetting Miranda only. I hid behind a crate and watched the two of them fight, only ordering Miranda to use warp. A few minutes later and after a few close calls, Miranda gunned down the asari b**** without any help from Shepard or her medigel. Sweet justice!

Now let's see if Garrus can take down two heavy mechs by himself lol

Garrus has never lasted more than 10 seconds against those mechs in my games.

I found Garrus pretty tough in ME2 and against those mechs he did have a hard time with them. He is a lot weaker in ME3

I do like watching Miranda throw the Asari across the screen. I will give Miranda credit, she is a very tough character. I died more times on my insanity run than she did.

In thinking about this, I wonder if your secret to Miranda's survival was not giving her a positioning order. I try to put my squad in cover and at least one or two of them, often Miranda, end up dead at least once. Left to their own devices, however, they would constantly be repositioning. In most cases that would not work too well, but against Enyala that could be a bonus because her Claymore is only good at short range. So if Miranda is constantly repositioning in a way to open up the distance between herself and Enyala, then she is making Enyala's most powerful attack much less powerful.

For instance, I never really worry about a Krogan at range, except for their Carnage, because most of their pellets just fly right on by. It is only when they get in close that they are truly dangerous.

You are most likely right. She had a heavy pistol equipped so every time Enyala closed in Miranda would just run away and take cover.

In all seriousness about my comment about squaddies versus a YMIR mech, I think Legion might be the only one who might win 1v1. His passive with 25% recharge speed and the 20% tech recharge research gives his geth shield boost a 6.6 second cooldown, while his widow and weapon damage passive gives him enough firepower to take the mech down asap. Plus using a singleshot sniper puts him in cover most of the time.

I am currently doing an insanity run for the achievement and Miranda is not holding up very well at all, at all. By the time we got to the Preatorian fight on Horizon I was down to one Medi-gel, mostly because of Miranda. Mordin only died once, IIRC. Not sure why the Collectors were picking on Miri. One time may have been because I may have not have gotten the position pointer in the right place and she took cover on the wrong side of a wall. On another mission with her and Kasumi, Miri went down twice while Kasumi never went down. Perhaps it was a matter of where she was positioned, but I swear she seems to attract alot of attention. Probably that outfit she wears.
