Goodness, why would you do that?  Are you some kind of sicko?  I try not to judge in these fantasy settings, but what you plan to do sounds barbaric.

Of the origins, I say the Circle was the third most uncomfortable feeling for me. The Alienage and Dust Town made the Circle look like a vacation resort in comparison.

They were really bad. They wanted to make scrap my skin off too. I was all to happy to kill perverted bastard,

Same here. Even before I played the City Elf Origin I killed him. Mostly at the time because he was an **** but when I got to Soran Saron...I can't remember how to spell his name, and found out what he did, I reloaded and killed him again.

I always come up with some superficial reason to do it, since my characters would have no knowledge of that. :innocent:

She must like being alone.  Since no one seriously advocates that either.

I'd kill him as a city elf, but with the human noble I just trick him into giving up the key then leaving him in there, because it's far too amusing, and his reaction is icing on the cake.

I agree but its not heaven lol. You HAVE to face a demon, succeed or become tranquil. It reminds of the Qun. Mages who don't want to be harrowed shouldn't be made tranquil, instead they should be watched closely and never be promoted to higher ranks or any rank for that matter in their hierarchy. They should be able to live a quiet life in circle, just living as a person.

No one claims the current system is the epitome of perfection.  We all say there are ways it could be improved.  However, the gross exaggeration of mages being treated like sh-t is getting old, when we are shown otherwise it is not the case.

Do not mistaken that my fangirlism for Anders will affect my views on mages. Mages are group of people and this whole templar vs mages thing needs a logical solution, those claming that either side is absolutely right are merely being extreme/fanatic and it doesn't work in a grey vs grey conflict.

That being said, I think ideas of change were probably suggested before but you and I both know neither chantry nor Templars like such changes, especially when its concerning the mages. Is there any evidence of improvement of circles in 9 centuries? If anything it got worse in places like Kirkwall but I think the problem roots in much deeper aspects. Thedas is feudal world. The feudal lords have very limited electoral power which is under the constant censure of military and religious power centers. Ferelden is perhaps further advanced because its existence is in opposition to Orlais and quite liberal in comparison; their nationalism is defined in opposition to Orlesian norms and it is well likely that the Orlesians could reclaim it at any moment. Kirkwall is much different. Its viscounts are presented to have ruled under the approval of the chantry and templars and they basically run the city. Ferelden had a better circle because it has a better government, probably the best in Thedas.

The Qun and the Chantry have so much in common.  I'm not even sure why the Qunari bother to try and convert Thedas since they have so much in common!

I remember him, but i don't remember him mentioning the weddings.  I only recall that he asks what day is it and where Arl Urien or whoever is.

Well pretty much he wasn't one play as female CE and see arls guards good luck with that attitude... if we pretend that we don't know that landsmeet victory hardly matters as we always win... his voice would save millions. About murderer part pretty much many peoples can be called one even pc as game forces you.Besides we know rapist part only when we are CE in other cases not and guy offers his voice and 40 sovereigns...

I guess i never will understand why guy is so much hated.:o

I just played it this morning and if you ask him why he is in there, he talks about how he tried to save his wife from her. He heard her screaming, Vaghan laughing, and he rushed at him but everything went dark.

If you ignore the rape part, it's generally the same reason people hate the "douchebag" stereotype in real life.  He's a smug, self centered ****.

Ah.  None of my wardens ask because they don't think a jailbreak is the time for story time.  They just tell him to escape while he can.

I don't see the Chantry as much different from the Qun in how they treat mages, the Chantry treats mages slightly better but not much and that is only because of few sympathic Divines. There is also the way they try to forcefully convert everyone to their faith. Hell the Chantry slaughted, was it a town or city in Rivain, when they refused to leave the Qun. There are some difference but a lot of simularities as well.

I do. They die as well.
Because to most people, rape is a terrible thing. But to sociopaths like you I guess it doesn't matter. <_<

I didn't even need the story to figure out he was some kind of lowlife. The moment he said something to the effect of the elves thinking they're people when asked about the elven rebellion, I decided pretty quickly that he wasn't leaving that cell.  Anyway, his voice doesn't matter and his sovereigns can be yours regardless, so it's a win-win situation.

Yeah, I took his key and then gutted him. And judging from his personal views, he's not the sort of person I think would benefit Ferelden society thus I don't want him having a voice in it.
