A character. One. Fenris wasn't. And he does unless you get him to soften his stance oh and Meredith. Two characters. Who are documented in the games to hate mages. So you stated **** that wasn't true and so did I.
Meredith doesn't hate Mages. There a scene where she outright begs Hawke, begs him, to give her a reason for lenience.
Another scene where she explicitly states to a Mage Hawke that she knew he was an Apostate and specifically did not have him brought into the Circle because of the good he did.
Now, she certainly didn't trust Mages, and she was strict (moving into insanely paranoid due to Red Lyrium), but she did not hate them. If she had hated them, she was in a position to make their lives ever so much more, shall we say, Tranquil. Yet she didn't. She was in a position to completely ignore Orsino, yet she didn't. There are so many things she could have done had she actually hated them, and yet she didn't.
of course, in the end she goes lyrium crazy and tries to kill everyone, but at that point I think we can safely say she wasn't herself.

Word of caution, once this ride starts it never ends, and so refunds are pretty much out of the question, dig?

Woah, a mage is planning an escape with a wanted apostate/abomination/grey warden deserter and the abusive under-handed Templar known as Alrik--known for going behind Meredith's back and doing illegal tranquilities--does an illegal tranquility behind Meredith's back?
I'm shocked. SHOCKED.

you're pretty much saying events in the game aren't true because your ideas of a character don't match what was presented in game.
That sounds like conspiracy territory to me.

Many players miss that letter, its lootable from a templar during the fight in chantry but after all of the Templars are killed the game instantly goes to the scenes and you leave the chantry, if you go back the corpses are not there. You need ro loot it during the fight.

She didn't know he was an abomination though. Just a mage. Who was doing more for the poor and the refugees than she or the Chantry was.Lord Aesir wrote...

I accuse you of the majority of your posts being about how you think everyone hates mages and present proof.thetinyevil wrote...
Your point is not made. You have take most everything out of context so no your point is not made.
Then, you actually try to defend your position of why you think all those people you mentioned hate mages thus proving my point.
Also, I don't think you understand how "context" works. If I say "You think Leliana hates mages" and your response is "She totally does" then you are basically telling me I got the context right since the context is "You think Leliana hates mages."

What am I supposed to back peddle and say that's not what I mean. I know I said these people hate mages. And I think they do and I will not change my opion nor will I apologize for it. I don't like Leliana, not even in Origins. Her dialouge was really anti-mage and seemed to support the Exalted March and I will stick to this belief.MisterJB wrote...

And I stick with my thoughts that if you are pro-templar you are anti-mage. Because their is no way someone can support the templars and not hate mages. I have stated that plainly several time.

More like seeing it as idiotic. Or is it ok to hate everyone because one guy screwed you over? Everyone should remember this next time a mage screws up. Then they can hate them all.
I'm not in the habit of condemning rape victims for still dealing with their traumatic experiences. I also don't consider them idiots for it, either. Fiona was from Orlais, after all.

You said it yourself... ONE.
I hate an number of people, I don't go around assuming people with even a remotely similar background should be hated because of that.
Yes its very easy to see how a person could feel that way... The point isn't that she does feel that way and she should or shouldn't be like that.
But that is not the case at all. The real point is a person with those kind of feelings is a terrible leader because they let their feelings control them not their heads.
So Fiona is a terrible leader because she was repeatedly raped and abused until she killed her attacker, she was then confined to a Circle Tower that she wanted to be freed from, she was still dealing with her years of abuse and torture when she met Maric, and she overcome her issues on her own?
Let's just say I strongly disagree.
