Lel. You need to stop believing everything you hear in the game. Fiona exacted a promise from Maric that their son would be told his mother was a human and had died, while Duncan promised to watch over him.
So the servant thing could be a lie, which I think it is.

This doesn't even match what was told in game, which was shacky at best.KC_Prototype wrote...

If you played DA:O and spared Loghain, you can ask him why Maric didn't acknowledge Alistair. His response is: "It would have ruined Rowan" (whole dialogue is here: , it starts on 13:33)
It means that queen Rowan was still alive when Alistair was born. And if you read The Calling, you know that Maric met Fiona three years after Rowan's death.

Not necessarily. Loghain could be talking about how Rowan would have viewed in history. His dialogue can go both ways.etain44 wrote...
About Alistair being Fiona's son - it's impossible in fact.

Well, i really don't think dead Rowan would have some problems with Maric's erotic life...

Considering they believe in an afterlife, I think no longer being in the World of the Living will blind Rowan of her husband's womanizing.etain44 wrote...

And besides, that doesn't help the case against the theory anyway. Whether from Fiona or the maid shouldn't have mattered to Rowan since she is dead at the time and both children, assuming they are different, were born the same year so she wouldn't have known of either one.

Yes - I thought Marric got together with Fiona after Rowan died.
And BTW - IMO if Maric had any unowhats he would have raised Alistair himself.

I just checked, and you're right: Alistair was born in 9:10, and The Calling is set approximately in... yeah, 9:10. Well, someone made a huge mistake with timing... or Rowan was jealous even after death

Probably the former, since one line slip ups do happen in storytelling due to different people writing different yet connected scenes at the same time, though the image of Rowan's ghost haunting Maric is a humorous one.etain44 wrote...

Yes, she'll do well as a figurehead leader and the Inquisitor will pull the strings from the shadows.

On a serious note now that I think about it Fiona has done nothing immoral. She does not even want pure mage freedom she just want the circles to rule themselves and be free of Templars. I actually think that system could work with some tweaks here and there.

I can understand why you think that way about Anders and Adrian. But Fiona? That is just preposterous. Refer to my post above.
