Its going to be interesting to see how Cassandra, given her hatred for mages, will get along with mages within the groupfunmachine wrote...
Whatever interaction we can get with our companions is fine by me. It's all about getting to know the characters we're traveling/saving the world with. Even some dislike between companions would be interesting in my opinion. Sometimes people will have conflicting agendas which I imagine could lead to some seriously hostile behavior.

Hm, I wasn't aware she hated mages. That will definitely make for some exciting conversation ^^

She hated mages in the anime but she made friends with Regalyan at the end. Also I think the anime happens 10 years or more before DA2.
I don't think she hates mages anymore.

Dawn of the Seeker takes place in 9:20, almost 2 decades before she encounters Varric. Also, her brother had been killed prior to the movie by blood mages for his dragon hunting skills.Tinxa wrote...

True but vivienne supports the idea of mages needing to be monitered so i wonder if that plays into it. I just think that aspect of her personality would work great given the mage templar conflict being at its peakOctagonalSquare wrote...
She seemed okay with Vivienne in the PAX demo.

or highfive with companion that dealth most damage to it
and also some kind of welcome
i hate when i walk into companions house like if it is my home(just say "hello" would be enouth or if you fell respect then just shake his hand, and if npc is your friend then just give him short friendly hug, or punch his shoulder "hey men, how ya going", or shake his hand and hit him in back"Im glad to see you ")
and also i hated when i came in hanged man and Varric was talking to Anders and Anders leaved immediately when he saw me,same thing with other companions
or to interrupt them when they demoralizing rest of the party, like when merril is forever disguissing about how many people Anders has killed or about Merril being evil becouse she is practising blood magic, etc.
it would be nice to romance NPCs that arent your necessarily companions

dancing would be funny haha
also drinking together in the bars/inns.
having some missions more like in the citadel dlc of mass effect and parts of the mark of the assassin dlc in da2. where you don't really just fight all the time. but like walk around somewhere and do things and chat with people.
some type of mini game?
what I'm really looking forward to is the banter between varric and cassandra. they were great and very entertaining in da2.

I agree with meganbyes, some missions like Citadel DLC and mark of the assassin were my favorite. An RPG is not only about fighting, it's about talking with characters and finding out about a story.
It would also be fun if you can have confrontations between characters. Deciding whether you side with one or another. And that it might have consequences for you if you go into battle with those two. For example if they are rivals (so to speak) their attacks are 10% less effective, because they don't want to work together anymore but their defense increases with 10% because they care more about their own survival.

The only thing I'd really like is for the interaction between my companions to come across as natural. It would be great if there was room for small talk now and then at a point in time of my choosing, rather than only having full dialogue options with my companions whenever they wished something of me.

Some off-hours mini-quests purely focused on companion interaction would be nice.
E.g. I really like the moment with Garrus on the Citadel in ME3; The silence before storm between two good friends. Another example of a great mini-quest series is from The Witcher 1, where you have a party and need to invite people, get drunk and generally just have fun without it mattering for the overall storyline other than establish charactarisation.

When a rogue points out a trap, I would like the other characters to say, "Hey, thanks for the warning!" and then avoid the trap.

There are a lot of things that could be done and would be nice. Whatever it is that shows up needs to be something that shows true friendship with the inquisitor. They will be shedding blood together after all. Card games or hanging out in the tavern would be nice to see (some have mentioned that and I agree)

I would like to see more group conversations. The banters are great and they should definitely keep them, but I mean "real" dialogues, with options for you to react (or just observe). Liara and Javik after Thessia are a pretty good example of what I have in mind.
In general, I support everything that makes characters and their behaviour more natural.

I want mushy emotional stuffs. More physical interaction. (no, not the shmecks) Like, hugs, and stuff. Kisses that don't go through my character's face.* Maybe more companion-specific quests.
But mostly the mushy stuff.
*Yes, I know it's probably really hard to animate kisses without clipping.

Dancing, fist fights, bar brawls, arm wrestling, "knucks," drinking contests, telling jokes, telling stories, throwing knives (a la darts), playing cards, playing a version of chess, chest bumps, yea, some wackiness.
Oh and yea, holding hands, hugs, that sort of thing would be cool too...
