Allow us to throw orgies at every safe zone...
(/troll mode off)
just allow to talk, potentially kiss your LI, still loved the comments of companions over it.

Is that too much to ask? Reading what I just listed, all that just seems like things that really can't happen. Chances are it would be an improvement to DA2, but I doubt it's going to be THIS.

Varric being hugged. I don't care by who. Or what. It could be a nug, Cassandra, the Inquisitor - it doesn't matter. If his best friend (my Hawke) can't hug him then someone has to.

Something like the Mass Effect series.

Wouldn't mind an option to dance with a specific companion in an Orleasian ball. *Cassandra comes to mind, resisting while genuinely urging to dance*
Ok, I want this!

The only thing I'd really like is for the interaction between my companions to come across as natural. It would be great if there was room for small talk now and then at a point in time of my choosing, rather than only having full dialogue options with my companions whenever they wished something of me.
That's one of my favourite interactions in all of Bioware's games. Part of that is because it's a wonderful scene whether you're in a romance or friendship. I'd have loved more relaxed bonding moments like that in the other games. Conversations about nonsense and in-jokes, maybe a friendly competition or game. It's important for them to talk about something other than their serious topics all the time.
Although I enjoyed DA2, I noticed that most of the characters tended to discuss all their serious business with Hawke, and then funny stories, etc with companions (either via banter or snapshots before companion dialogue). Anders and Merrill were particularly noticeable for that (with Varric and Isabela respectively).

Like choosing who saves you when you're held captive, I want to be able to choose who to take to a fancy ball
We might be surprised who the good and bad dancers are haha.

Pretty much what everyone has been saying, tavern scenes, ballroom dancing, more contact and casual conversation. Games, stories, drunken nights of mischief. More serious stuff too, like comforting people; if something bad happens people shouldn't forget about it quickly either. Being able to slap the stupid out of someone would be nice as well. And if I get knocked on my ass by a fireball I want my companions to say you okay buddy? Or tell them to quit lying down on the job or something.

With that said, some things im hoping to see are these pub type scenarios which has been discussed already but also some physical interaction besides "sex". Hugs, hand shakes, high fives, hell even dancing if it fits (especially in Orlais)
Anything you'd like to see?
I think it's been said that you can kiss your LI out of battle again like DOA. And I'm happy about that. But damn I'd love a hug option.

They did something like that on DA2, when you fall in battle, if you have keen ears you'd be able to hear your companions screaming your name or something. Same goes for Hawke shouting a companion's name when they fall.

Oh really? I know they say stuff when you 'die', do they do it if Hawke sets off a trap and gets thrown to the ground? That's the kind of reaction I want companions to have.

Too bad, no. Great idea though, it would really show how concerned your companions are for your well being.

I really wanted to smack Anders across the back of his head so many times for the stupid things he said. So yeah, I'd like that option for my companions in DAI. I'd also love the option to tell companions to shut up if they start arguing in party banter. I know someone said it already, but I'd love to actually be able to listen to at least one of Varric's stories. Also, if there is a dog again, instead of just choosing the (pet dog) choice and then seeing it's reaction, I'd actually like to see my character pet their dog.

Yes! It really bothered me in DA2 that everyone was talking about Varric's crazy stories but you never got to hear them.
Also I'd really like to find snippets of his books as codex entries ![]()

I also want to see more three-person party banter. DA2 had some. I'm not sure if DAO had any (it was probably all two-person).

But to be honest, I think I would classify most of the things that we have suggested as "too good to be true". I mean, the real thing is probably not as extravagant as we think. Even though i would very much like to see all the dancing and the tavern partying and stuff, I just don't want to get my hopes up and end up being dissapointed.

I would just love points where you can go and relax for a brief period from the daily toils with your companions in a Tavern, and just let them enjoy each others company and just have a laugh
really hoping the concept art depicting this comes to fruition ![]()
