Every game has glitches and I'm sure ME4 will have its share. The problem is that Bioware never wants to pay the cost to deliver a patch to consoles. I don't see that changing with ME4.

I thought I heard patches will be free on next gen consoles?

Microsoft have dropped it on 360 during 2013 so I assume it will continue on x-box one and that sony would have to follow suit..

All I can hope for is a more expanded and polished version of what we have now. I'd prefer we not have too many game modes, like say 2 at the most just to avoid dividing up the playerbase too much. If there's one thing I'd really love is more customization for our characters. Allow us to customize our gear/weapons too, because there's nothing more badass than a squad of elite soldiers going to battle with what looks like nerf guns.

I'd be totally fine with what we have now with some polish. I'd like to see them change progression in the game or at least change it so it isn't all RNG based. I'd also like them to take a look at the promotion system, and I'd love them forever if they fixed their cover system and made it not suck.

I think they should focus on more gametypes. Keep the horde mode, because it can be fun, but also add something like infiltration missions, maybe holdouts (defend bases instead of just surviving), and even longer co-op campaign missions or something like that. Of course, co-op campaign would have to involve other characters, (kind of like the spartan ops in halo 4), as we couldn't have a ton of whoever the main character of me4 is running around.

Unless, of course, they made it so you got to play as and spec the squadmates from the campaign. Many people might have a problem with that, though.

My point is, multiplayer could be a lot better than it is now, and they could go a lot of directions with it. If they not only focus on a good single player, but also a good multiplayer, people might stick around a lot longer.

likely something more like this (for better or worse):

It's on the FROSTBITE3 engine, and I understand they may be tapping some ICE resources for the MP. Hopefully it does not end up like a Battlefield 4, with a ME theme.

Can't say I'm terribly interested in a ME FPS, without a coop focus.

ME: Next MP will consist of only 3 playable characters:

Drowning Turian:
- Plays like Tsol but you will randomly start to drown
Diseased Quarain
- Runs around until they get shot up.
Half-eated Salarian
- Lays on the ground waiting to get finished off.

I agree because I strongly feel that ME4 Multiplayer will be a designed to be a huge disappointment to the fans.
I am guessing that they will make a game that anyone can immediately play.  So, someone with 1 hour of play time will be able to defeat someone with 1000 hours.

Your suggested choice of characters is good as any. The challenge will be how you customize the 3 characters.

Also, ME4 multiplayer will be mostly about getting achievements and N7 ranking.

They should keep the horde mode first of all. Second, they should add other modes, linear missions and whatnot.

I don't think they should add too many new modes b/c it'll divide the player base up. Horde mode is great and a co-op campaign I would also fully support. I'd like to see more character/weapon/armour customization and just fix the lag/frame rate/connection problems. I'm fine how it is honestly, I don't think the game itself needs a lot, I just think the netcode needs a lot. I also know a lot of players complain about the RNG but I've yet to see an iron-clad-better way of doing things. I know it's a grind but for me I've always strived to enjoy the games even while waiting for better characters/equipment, it's not the grind itself that matters as much as the end result.

The RNG does indeed suck but at the same time I doubt there is a better alternative. Maybe up the UR drop rate ever so slightly?
