Question on the Asari
#1
Posté 03 février 2014 - 03:46
Number 1: The Asari characters in the multiplayer seem to work the best for me out of all the characters.
Number 2: The Asari are my favorite alien race in the Mass Effect series besides the Turians.
So is there any tips you guys can give for someone playing as the Asari? I have the Asari Adept (Regular), Asari Adept (Justicar), and the Asari (Vanguard). I can post the builds I have for all 3 if you guys want. Also was wondering what packs should I buy to get the Asari Valkyrie (Sentinel), and then Asari Huntress (Infiltrator)? Thank you in advance.
Sincerely,
Prizrak

The Justicar is a bit tricky to play if you want to use the bubble offensively, but she makes a good long-range "biotic soldier" type (prime a target with Reave, get damage reduction, shoot primed targets with Warp ammo for extra damage).
I haven't used the Huntress much, but apparently cloak + Dark Channel = easy-mode button.
And then the Valkyrie. Ahhh, the Valkyrie. Get a Wraith, Reegar, or Piranha and kill all the things.
Your best bet for new kits are Reserve Packs, but the RNG shows no favorites. You'll get what you'll get and you'll like it, soldier!

Sir, yes sir! I will continue to buy Reserve Packs until I'm gifted with all the Asari, Sir!

1. Asari Adept: use the Arc Pistol alone or in combination with Stasis for most mooks, use Throw to finish off mooks that aren't killed by your pistol, and use Warp/Throw combos on bosses. http://kalence.drupa...23N52384!DDD73
2. Justicar: This is one of the easiest builds for lower-level players to transition to Gold. Doesn't work as well on Platinum. Use mostly your Acolyte, and then Pull-Reave combo things after you drop their shields. Use combinations of Reave stacking, Hurricane, and Reave-Bubble combos for bosses. http://kalence.drupa...23N54384!GE595
3. Valkyrie: Just run up to stuff and use Warp/AF combos and Piranha fire to take out groups. Warp then unload full in the face on bosses. The Eagle is in case you need something to shoot at distant enemies during a hack/escort. Other guns like the Phalanx or any SMG would work too. http://kalence.drupa...23N53384!5FGA5

1) gear towards power damage bonuses...nades. charge and nade. light weapon
2) stasis snipe. with the widow...stasis +head shot.
Asari Adept. POWAH!!! BE all things.
Justicar....reave all things! warp bubble when they get close. pull mooks. warp ammo a must.

If I am, then... Try the claymore on the original AA and on the Huntress, they work great with it. There's pretty much no real wrong way to play the AJA, as she's quite the all around character. The Valkyrie's the easiest to use: Just spec everything for debuff, bring a powerful shotgun with warp IV, approach bosses, warp, unload shotgun, dead boss. Rinse and repeat.

Asari adept - arc pistol (spec into headshots in passives and stasis-HS everything, warp>throw for bosses)
Justicar - acolyte (pull>reave combo) and CSMG, 6/6/6/4/4 or 6/6/6/5/3 are amazing builds
Valkyrie - Wraith (use incendiary cheese if needed, else warp ammo), I go no fitness but 6/6/6/4/4 is excellent as well
Asari Vanguard - Wraith, spec out of stasis. Find spawn > shoot > charge > nade > spawn dead
Huntress - Claymore with warp ammo IV. I run no fitness + cyclonics on her.
The other approach is to equip a venom shotgun. It will solve everything.

I would actually advise against buying Reserve Packs looking for a specific character or characters. It's not that it can't work, it's that it's a very expensive way to spend credits on a very slim chance of unlocking an Asari. I think you should stick to Spectre Packs until you max your Gold cards. It will give you the best long-term investment, and help keep you in equipment and consumables.
The 99K packs are a better investment when you are down to chasing Ultra Rares, but you're a ways off from that.

This one understands.
Here is my build for the Asari Justicar. Reave a spawn, run in and Biotic Sphere as many as you can, then clean house by detonating with Reave again or shooting them down with the Lancer.
This is my often-criticized vanilla Asari Adept build due to lack of Stasis. I use her as an on-the-run detonator: ammo prime with either Acolyte or BPP fire, detonate FE's with Warp, then detonate BE's with Throw. Lots of fun IMO. The Stasis headshot build is popular and certainly effective but I have more fun doing it this way, so I'm keeping it.

A few basic tips:
- There's no excuse not to bring a good gun just because you're a "caster" (applies to every kit in the game)
- Place Stasis bubble in a choke point and let the enemies run into it (while you kill other stuff). It can only hold two at a time, but when you shoot their heads off, that makes room for more. You can also place it preemptively at an enemy spawn point (e.g. the basement in Glacier).
- There's no real hurry to kill the targets you've put in Stasis. You can catch a couple of Marauders in one, shoot a few Cannibals, and the kill off the Marauders in your spare time.
- While many AA players see Warp mostly as a BE primer, never forget that it's also a great debuffer. Make it your opening move against every boss.
- Throw can be used very effectively when fighting Collectors. Soften up a possessed Abomination with your weapons and then throw it towards your team.
This is my best build for her.

My build for her
Basically you run around, cloak --> dark channel --> shoot stuff, and if it didn't die already: cloak again --> warp --> biotic explosion, rinse and repeat. Amazingly effective on platinum. i like to use any powerful and not too heavy weapon on her, talon for example would work, too.

So... You're using a lazor-like accurate Lazor to fire at point blank range. Uhhmm...

I haven't played the Valkyrie in probably around 1 year. If I were to do it now, I'd probably take a claymore with warp ammo IV and see if I can do stuff like brutes OHK for the lulz :innocent:
Or maybe just a melee build, dunno...

I recommend not speccing out of Stasis. You can get nades on loads of characters but stasis on only three.
My build is 64466. Equipe the Pirhana. Make sure you take the barrier EVO on bc.
For extra nades I use the shock trooper gear. Warp ammo and a cyclonic complete the picture.
Dominates Cerberus.

Yup. Assguard without Stasis is pretty much a weaker Drellguard, although a bit more durable.

This is useful link by Ikilledkillab for AJ, you may check at http://social.biowar.../index/12278119
I share my some tips here.
AJ:
- Go 6/6/3/5/6 balance build with offensive bubble. Not much weapon. Focus on reave and BE.
- I using N7 Eagle as it can equip power magnifier (boost power damage), full-auto and given 200% cooldown
- Stick together with the PUGs, especially biotic mate for BE combo
- Pull and reave combo for mooks enemy and bubble at choke point
- Using reave and run style; Reave enemy and run to them -> drop bubble for 1st BE -> dodge away quickly (moonwalk ^^) -> reave again for 2nd BE
AV:
- Go 6/3/6/5/6 basic build.
- Stasis non-armor enemy, grenades them and follow by biotic charge (radius).
- I m always using Adrenaline module, Stronghold V and Hurrican. 4 grenades capacity just enough for me.
- I m normally run to the enemy spawn point at beginning of wave, throw grenades, charging them and run away back to ammo box.
- IMO, FB Jade and London maybe this best map for AV as the location of ammo box and each given 2 grenades.
I m not much play AA, so no comment on her.
If you looking for biotic teammate you can add me via friend list (Origin-PC)

My Valkyrie tech armour detonating build. An immensely fun build! The tech armour detonating works well for the first 4 waves of gold. But after that it becomes less effective. But don't worry because you can then switch play style to warp AF and wreck things even more.
