Question on the Asari

With Asari commando I would suggest 6-6-6-5-3. Equip Wraith and Stasis – headshot mooks, warp – throw bosses. You are not doing power damage – just weapon and BE, so I spec into weapon and headshot damage in passives. Also use geth scanner and drill or AP rounds. Of cause, you can BE mooks also, but stasis + headshot is much faster. Also, mooks can not dodge stasis, and bosses don’t dodge warp. Solid kit on gold against any faction, but geth may be tricky because cheating faction (powers may not work on hunters and bombers).
The Valkyrie is simply – extreme CQC. BE mooks, BE bosses and finish with Reagar + incendiary. With cyclonic and stronghold amp she is immortal, just use a ramp against potential instant-killers.
Huntress is also simply – 6-6-6-5-3. Cloak->DC->shoot. Warp for BE if needed.

AA - Warp / Throw treatment on every ravager / brute in sight and Stasis for Marauder's dogfight. Pure Throw spam on the cannibals and husks . SMG and Warp rounds for more fun ..
The Collectors have lot of units without protection. AJA is the queen there. The Pull / Reave combo is very fast and strong enough to kill every grunt on gold. Reave / BSphere Warp / Reave for the Scions dogfight. The tricky part is the dogfight against the captains.A High ROF weapon and Warp rounds can solve the problem.
The Valkyrie also works best at 6/6/6/5/3 but there are different issues - she needs strong weapon and adrenaline module.to survive close engagements.
The Asari Vanguard is just a EZ mode. If you lost your pride somewhere, feel free to share your grenade load all across the map. Very few things can survive this treatment , even on gold. There are not any specific issues. Enjoy.

'The non-venom approach (sometimes you need to take pity on the lesser weapons, excl. arc pistol)'
Asari adept - arc pistol (spec into headshots in passives and stasis-HS everything, warp>throw for bosses)
Justicar - acolyte (pull>reave combo) and CSMG, 6/6/6/4/4 or 6/6/6/5/3 are amazing builds
Valkyrie - Wraith (use incendiary cheese if needed, else warp ammo), I go no fitness but 6/6/6/4/4 is excellent as well
Asari Vanguard - Wraith, spec out of stasis. Find spawn > shoot > charge > nade > spawn dead
Huntress - Claymore with warp ammo IV. I run no fitness + cyclonics on her.
The other approach is to equip avenomTalon shotgun (pistol). It will solve everything.
Fixed for you.

Are you taking Durability on TA's 6th evolution? Because if you are, 4/6/6/6/4 would give you both more durability and more damage output than 6/6/6/5/3 (when using Adrenaline Mod, as you should). The only thing you'll lose is either power damage or melee damage. The first is inconsequential, the latter is only really useful for actual melee builds.
If you take Power Recharge instead, a Gold Phantom will shield gate you with one shot, but 4/6/6/6/4 will take two.

Im not a big fan of the Valkirie and never plat with her. If you say that 4/6/6/6/4 is better, then probably you are right.
On gold 6/6/6/5/3 with recharge speed works fine for me.

I guess it boils down to personal preference, but the Talon is a good choice for CQC characters and arguably most asari fits into this role (or can be played accordingly). Perhaps the only exception is the huntress which can be played at a safe distance. Anyway I would strongly suggest to the OP to try the Talon on them.

Overall, you first have to learn how to make the Asari dance (utilizing biotic slide/strafing and circular motions around enemies). I've seen alot of people play who say the Asaris suck because they are squishy; they are. Those same players typically don't know how to avoid being hit and learning the timing of mob shots. Once you learn how to make her dance, you'll find the Asari kits are all deadly.
When you're ready to put on your big boy pants and try out gold/plat, bring the Geth scanner. It's not what you see that'll kill you but what you don't see. After reading several weapons suggestions I'll be honest with you, the Talon X is going to be your best bet for any of the Asari.
Dispatch smaller mobs first at every opportunity.
AA - Stasis is a must (even if you only throw in 3pts by electing out of Evo 6 on her specialty). BEs are her bread-n-butter. Stasis/Warp, Warp/Throw, Stasis/Throw.
AJA - Softcore version: Spec into Pull and get your BEs off Reave. Toss up the occasional bubble.
Hardcore version: Skip pull, max out Reave and Bubble. Reave>(charge in) Bubble>Reave>Bubble for a chain of BEs. Shoot in between CDs. This requires brass balls to play. You're not a yellow-spined chicken... are you?
AVS - I take Radius/Speed/Drain for AF. The increased speed I find comes in more handy than debuff (5A damage taken). Tech armor explosion can work wonders if you're trapped in a corner or behind hardcover. You shouldn't need to use it that often. Her tactics are pretty simple, warp and shoot. Get in close for BE (Warp/AF).
AHI - She's not a one-trick pony as some might suggest. If you're dispatching a group of smaller mobs, then TC>DC>Warp. Don't recloak while casting Warp on the smaller guys. They will usually die on the BE or shortly after. So you can set up a chain of BEs by recasting Warp on each new target (that DC moves to). Shoot inbetween CDs. If fighting a boss and a smaller mob and they aren't close enough together, then cast TC/DC on the smaller one and TC/Warp at the boss. Once the smaller guy is dead, hit the boss with TC/DC and follow it up with Warp. If you're carrying a heavy weapon then you can forget about using the above strategy.
AV - She's really built for long-range tactics. Stasis/Sniper rifle shines here. Take 4B/5A (+2 Grenades)/6B for LiftNades. I actually run my kit without BC. If you get hit alot then take a few pts for BC. I don't because I find BC will probably put into harm's way. It's just easier to use an Ops pack.
You'll find that you've mastered the Asari once you quit using Cyclonic mods and switch to Power Amp.

Asari Adept
Asari Justicar
Asari Valkyrie
Asari Huntress
Asari Vanguard
These might not be the best builds for you but they're the ones that I've found fit my play style the best.

Good AJA build - pretty much what I run except I take power damage in the passives and power amps in the gear slots.

I'm not sure what you mean by free BE, could you elaborate?
I'm not after fast cooldowns per se, but taking both Warp 6B and passive 4B matches Warp's cooldown perfectly with Wraith's reload cycle. This means than I can Warp, shoot twice,
EDIT: I meant reload-hide, not reload-cancel

I think he is refering to bonus power vs recharge on stasis which is an occassional extra Stasis or BE. I find that to be more useful but I have no issue with the recharge option either.Aedolon wrote...

This means than I can Warp, shoot twice, reload-cancel with Throw, rinse and repeat. 6A offers very little value, because I don't use Warp for its direct damage and I don't need that extra armor DR mitigation with Warp Ammo IV and shotgun HVB.

I don't guess it's necessary but the warp/incendiary cheese seems to be slightly more delicious with it. I guess you could go into weapon's passives instead of course for moar Raider killing power.CrashUrStox wrote...
