As part of Dragon Age: Inquisition's most recent marketing initiative, Jessica Merizan has revealed via the BioWare Blog that the company will be releasing a series of "character kits" - high resolution character designs from the upcoming game.

Kits designs found here:

Morrigan
, showcasing her ballgown, jewellery and facial profile.

"The purples and blacks of Morrigan's elegant ball gown are a cavalier, witchy thumb to the nose of the pastel hues favoured by Orlesian fashion. Adorned with feathers and black lace, her dress slyly layers the natural upon the ostentatious. Small silver flies cling to her forest green velvet skirt. And while keeping to the style of the Orlesian court, the flexibility of her leather corset allows her to cast a spell or two, should a bard step out of line."

Varric
, displaying his duster, scarf and armour.

"Look for the best-dressed man in Lowtown and you’ll find Varric Tethras. There among the gamblers and thieves, this merchant prince holds court, spinning his stories as he robs the room blind. The famed companion to the Champion of Kirkwall knows a good shirt can sell a story, and the right clothes are every bit as valuable as coin. Born a surface dwarf, Varric’s dress is a subtle snub to tradition, foregoing the typical beard while making light of ostentatious merchant families."

Cassandra
,showing her armour and facial profile.

"There may be royal blood in the veins of of Cassandra Pentaghast, but you’ll find none in her heart. The distant cousin to the throne of Nevarra long ago surrendered all fineries for a sword and shield. Upon her chest is the unblinking eye the Seekers, who have quietly kept Chantry order since the end of the first Inquisition. Cassandra bears no love for comfort or convenience, and her uniformed, practical attire reflects this both on and off the battlefield. She keeps her hair as short as her temper and her blade nearly as sharp."

I'm actually really glad they are doing this, as segregating the character designs to a certain site may be my best shot at not getting spoiled on what characters are going to be appearing in the game before I start my BSN blackout.

I'd just really like to see some system/feature information. Before they start spoilering everything all over the place.

How could they when that never have a clear detailed picture of Morrigans dress.

I thought this was based on Morrigan's current look:

Her dress looked wine-colored to me.  Red in some lighting, purple in others.

I just hope they don't end up giving away too much about the characters in the game before it comes out. I remember when I was younger, a toy company did stuff like this a few months before The Empire Strikes Back came out and so we found out about Han living and other things.

And that was pre-internet when rumours didn't get out to the public nearly as quick.

If I remember correctly that's happened since with other films as well.

I am about ready to go into lock down mode and leave BSN for a while because I want to experience DAI as fresh as possible.

I think hairs, need to be a little more detailed and high resolution.

But gotta admit i love them. I loved the Morrigan ones as well. During E3 presentation, i thought Morrigan was way different looking and strange, while she was talking, like her lips got bigger and nose even more pointy, but i see  the pictures and it is quite well done. Impressive face details and still resembles old Morrigan. I hope this is the case when she is animated and talking as well.

Love how Varic basically didnt care for armor in DA2, walking with those leather jackets, but now he is ready for war. Hopefully we would get the chance to outfit him with more of these badass armors. He is after all my fav DA2 character, kind of reminding me of two of my fav characters in TV - Gannicus ( Spartacus show)
Good job with these kits BW.

I love them! Cassandra doesn't seem to have the 'oddly thin' neck problem as much as Morrigan did (though it is still thin but it doesn't stand out as before). The hearts in her armor are cute, I wonder if it was her choice, hahah

Varric's eyes look a bit too orange, but I'm guessing that they look differently in-game. How come there isn't a picture of Bianca?...Or a close-up of Varric's chest hair. Okay I'm kidding about the last one.

Varric has a dagger on his back.

Just saying. And it's a sweet looking dagger, too.

I love the hearts on Cassandra's pauldrons! I think it would have been cool though if they had re-used the stylized crossbow symbol on Varric's skill tree in DA2, somewhere on his model. That hip flask maybe. Hmmm...

I imagine Vivienne is next. Haven't really seen her in much detail yet.

What I liked the most about it is that it is actually dagger sized, unlike the daggers in the games

I like Varric's outfit overall, but I'd rather not have the pauldrons or elbow armor. I think it looks better without it.

I'm sure I'm not the first person to notice this, but that symbol on Varric's flask....
