There's something I've noticed just now. And it came upon me when I was reading about GetGameDifficulty() function.

Mainly, I've realized I don't have Very Easy difficulty in my game and never had. When I slide the difficulty slider maximally left, it's Easy.

Anyone knows why it is so? :o

Edit: I can choose Very Easy in dedicated server settings, though.

When you are skilled anough, the lower difficulty levels locks for you. For example I have only DnD and Very high as an option!

Im joking of course :P.

Good one, but you've actually got a point!  That is, I don't care much about Very Easy setting (I would be much more touched if it was Very High or DnD that was removed), but still, out of curiosity, I'm wondering what the reason might be for that.
Seriously though, I've never known there was supposed to be a Very Easy setting! Which I find funny given the time I've spent on this game.

I never knew that as well!

What happens when one puts the game to that level? The M0bs die on sight? :D

Doesn't it make the PC immortal? I think its a server testing mode.

Very Easy is a DM Setting, the DM can adjust difficulty in game...

If you want to adjust the Difficulty of the Server, edit the 2da (difficulty settings) and put it in your override folder...

You can make Players take Critical Hits, without making their spells damage them, which is what Very Hard or Hard Difficulty does (it makes spells hurt the caster)...

I hate Hard Difficulty & would leave any server who had setup spells to hurt the caster, it makes playing a mage pointless... (too dangerous for party play too)

The best servers (in my opinion) make damage normal (100%) for normal difficulty, that way players take critical hits, but don't let caster die to their own spells (which what hard & very hard settings do.  Easy of course should be 50% normal damage (no critical hits), and very easy would be like 25% (optional)...

Interesting...

I only play on hardcore settings and that is how I set my server. I also play with full fog of war (no way to know immunities using examine NPC) both give more realism and slightly increased challenge. What you saying sounds like somebody dropping a grenade in a middle of a room and complaining that everybody died friends and foes alike. Not all players have the skills to play a mage.

Well met.

Indeed. The skills of a mage are difficult to learn. Perhaps if there was a learning spell I could use.
