I finally got back to the NWN series on my Windows 7 x64 system, and things have been going well until the game just crashes out as I attempt to leave the swamps following the Illefarn Ruins quest for the fifth Statue. I suspect that it's a mis-behaving cut-scene, since it goes through the whole "unload/load" cycle without problems.

I think what I'd like is to try to step around the transition, but since it's kind of an important milestone in the game I thought I would ask the kind experts out here what is the correct way to deal with this?

If anyone needs further info I'll happily supply it.
