I'm curious if anyone has had issues with unlocking the various Ally Trophies on PS3. What exactly are the requirements to unlock them? I know that you have to play a majority of the game with, for example, Liara to get the Asari Ally Trophy but is there anything that glitches that one from unlocking?

I only have the PC version, so I can't speak to any bugs.
When they say "majority" of the game, they really mean most of the game, which includes all the little sidequests that will update in the journal. Liara is probably the most difficult to get since she is always the last squad member you pick up. Kaidan / Ashley are theoretically the second hardest, but you do get them on the first mission so it isn't a big deal typically.
The best way to get Liara is basically to avoid sidequests on the Citadel and go directly to Therum after you become a Spectre. Then simply take her absolutely everywhere until the ally achievement drops. I can't remember where exactly this was for me when I did the ally achievements, it has been 3 years ago. I did do 3 different dedicated runs for them all though since I managed to not get any the first several times I played the game.

For me(playing on a PS3) as soon as the character was available I used them until the trophy popped up. With T'soni, I recruited her as early as possible and it was only after Saren was defeated that the trophy for her popped up. I don't know anything about any glitches. For the other characters the trophy popped up before Ilos.

The ME Wiki has a good guide for the Ally trophies. For Tali and Garrus I got them near the end of the game in Flux.

I been playing on xbox and I must be missing some side quests cuz I am level 60 and tried and tried.. haven't got one. I know I am missing something.. we'll see tomorrow afternoon after my last playthrough if I get the krogan and garrus to pop... its a hard one to get
