.. and would like a question answered if possible.

In previous playthroughs, I never took Tali off the Normandy except for the Rannoch missions where she is a  compulsory squadmate. (if alive). Wanting to see new content in the next playthrough, I thought that it would make a change to bring her along on every possible mission after she becomes available. So, I'd like to know which side missions I can leave until I can take her along and which become locked before then if I don't do them earlier.

Thanks in advance

From the top of my head:

N7:Noveria Fighter Base
Rachni Mission OR Tuchanka:Turian Platoon(You need to do one of these missions to unlock Priority Tuchanka, but you can save the other until you get Tali)
Ex-Cerberus Scientists
Ardat Yakshi Monastery
Priority:Eden Prime
Citadel:Shore Leave
Leviathan

That's it I think

Every other side mission will need to be done because there are items on those side quests which need to be delivered to people on the Citadel, and after Priority:Tuchanka those people disappear making it impossible to hand in those items.

There are not that many mostly because Tali is so late in the game. Like in ME2 also quite late in the game.

Daemul's got it.

But personally, saving Rachni or Platoon for later just feels weird to do, you know? Unless you're DEAD SET on bringing Tali along for those, really. Same with Eden Prime, which I'd more do right before or after Palaven's Moon. But if you hate Javik but want to still do his content, then I guess I'd hold it off for that late.

~~

So my list is more like the following. Oh, and I'm not counting N7 sidemissions.

-Geth Dreadnaught (Forced)
-Quarian Admiral (Optional, yes it is)
-Geth Consensus (Optional but she just hangs around)
-Rannoch (Forced)

-Ex-Cerberus Scientists (Optional Mission)
-Ardat-Yakshi Monastery (Optional Mission)

-Leviathan DLC (all 3 Missions)
-Citadel DLC (at least 3 of the story Missions, but also the arena maybe)

-Thessia (Main Mission, Liara Force Joined)
-Sanctuary (Main Mission)
-Cronos Station (Main Mission, EDI Force Joined)
-London (2 parts)

All in all, you should be able to spend a good several missions (or more, depending on how you look at it) with her, but not the 20-25+ that exist in the game at large.

Anyway, again, Daemul probably has the true list of missions you can put off until you get Tali. The pacing is just weird imo :P

I wouldn't say that. Yes, you miss the initial tutorial based missions, the first recruitments, and Horizon, but then you can do the rest of the main story, recruitments, and all Loyalties and DLC (that allow squadmates) with her. That's a good majority of the game content, even if about half the main story (which is short anyway) isn't available.

You can get her right after Horizon, but because I don't particularly love her, I tend to leave her for last after Samara and Thane and maybe some Loyalties.

I'd say she comes along even later in ME 3 than she did in ME 2.  In ME 2 you could pick her up after Horizon in ME 3 you have to start the Rannoch arc.

Well she wasn't supposed to be a squadmate. She was put in later for the sake of: Talimancers, Tali lovers, and Garrus + Tali lovers (not even shippers persay, but the idea of them always being around optionally)

For both fans and developers themselves who felt attached to this sort of thing.

Anyway, yeah, game wasn't designed for her at first and she was more figured out later. That makes Leviathan and Citadel DLC pretty valuable, as that's a few more missions Tali lovers can spend with her :)

Yeah, leaving  Eden Prime, the Rachni Mission and The Turian Platoon mission for so late does make it very weird, especially with the Turian Platoon mission where you miss out on all the drama of the entire thing with the Primach and Wrex no longer being on the Normandy. You do get  to overhear a good conversation between Tali and the VS though. Anyway, it's the OP's game, he can do what he want's.

Yeah, Tali comes really late in ME3, in the last 3rd of the game, I remember on my first playthrough thinking where the hell Tali was. With DLC Tali fans get to spend more time with her, but it's still very limited compared to the rest of the squad. Atleast with the VS you are with them at the start of the game and can talk to them throughout the Tuchanka arc.

The one funny thing you get for using Tali is Chikktika and her fear of spiders when fighting Rachni.

If you hold off the turian platoon/Tuchanka bomb missions until after Priority Rannoch is completed, and Ash is alive and recruited, they have a conversation about Virmire over the intercomm afterwards.

Edit Image IPB  Gotta read more of these responses before responding myself

If you take Tali on the Ardat-Yakshi monasary mission, Samara will acknowledge her by name, something she doesn't do for any other squadmate.

I have to say all those little conversations are well done. Shame that overall the interactivity of convos has gone down quite a lot.

Ehh now I have a real strong urge to play but I have to wait until I get a new desk, nowhere to set up my pc yet.

I'm also doing a "Tali-Playthrough" at the moment (about 10hours into ME2 now) , for ME2 there's a simple way to recruit her early:

social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/105/index/1585456

Just follow this tutorial. After her recruitment mission, you can edit the savegame again and uncheck the "alternate appearance" at both jacob's and Miranda's Checkboxes.
This will put the mission order back to normal (after Horizon, you simply don't get Tali's dossier, the game will "now" that you already recruited her, nothing else will be different.)
This is no problem because she has dialog for ALL the missions after Freedom's Progress.

For ME3 I thought about "recruiting" her early via save edit again, but I'm worried that i could mess up some parts of the game because Tali doesn't have the dialogue....

Could someone Confirm that this method  does works/ doesnt work?

Thanks;)
