The missile is generally a better choice than the flamer...the flamer actually does the least damage versus armor, but only primes versus armor, making it overall pretty mediocre. Plus it doesn't get the damage boost from AP ammo so it's even worse. The missile can stagger, multihit, and homes in on targets.
I really like having the turret in general though. I anthropomorphize my turret and thank my turret buddy every time she gets a kill. My favorite is when I come up from killing a phantom to find myself face to face with a dragoon or other mook, only to have the turret snipe it from a corner. It's like having an awesome friend that goes exactly where you want them to go and does exactly what you want them to do.

Flamer turret actually does more damage versus shields than armor. A lot of weirdness with sentry turret, it can land headshots, lol.

Yeah, turret flamer is counted as weapon damage and so armor DR reduces it
I've never found that spec particularly worthwhile for what I want the turret to do. It's direct damage is terrible, and I can hardly ever get reliable detonations out of it without being right in the target's face with incinerate, because the priming window is like 1 second. I've been told it works better for the GE because it has a hitscan detonator.

Whenever I PUUG, I feel I always have to slap on Disruptor ammo in case Geth come up.
It's a shame that a Quarian character doesn't come with blinky flashlight repellent out of the gate...an Engineer no less.

Geth go full retard over the turret just like with most pets, which sort of compensates for her lack of anti-shield powers. That said, disruptor is great on her especially against them.
Most of the time, Claymoar or Arc Pistol is my blinky flashlight repellant. Or Cobra Missiles, either way.

I only have a Gold build for her. Can check my PS3 manifest for clue, but it's the weapon she uses that makes this build.

another shy question:
Judging by the visual effects, I am not quite sure:
Can you "chill" shielded Enemies?
(I am asking because of the Incendiary 100% damage evolution)

As an engineer, she must not have taken many EE classes. Maybe she was more of an Applied Physics major, with an emphasis on thermodynamics.

You can chill anything.
