Yup this is the cheapest the latest Civ V expansion has ever been.

FYI they are all exclusive to Steam. So DRM babies go cry elsewhere.

Well you could just donate ALL the money to charity. Do you not know how Humble Bundle works?

Civ V is great for newcomers. The latest expansion at $15 is easily worth it.

Picked up all minus Brave New World for $5.74.

I guess I'll give Civ V a try.

Might as well ask before I buy. These are my specs (yes it's a laptop) will it be able to run all the games on the list?

Intel® Atom™ CPU N2600 @ 1.60GHz
2.1 GB of ram
Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 3600 Series

Um.. Civ 5 ROCKS. I've already dumped like 200 hours into it.

So, I bought this, minus the expansion pack for $15. Which one should I start with? IV or V?

Is IV more difficult/less intuitive or something?

The latest expansion is GREAT. Remember that 'Emperor' difficulty is too hard for you! I barely survived the first war (in the middle ages) and my cousin was owned fast...

Civ IV is based on cheap units. Good luck winning your wars with spamming of units and "chance" (not tactics and the real expertise of your units) and a unit may kill 4 other units with the same strength as its own.

In the latest expansion of Civ V religion, trade routes Great persons and policies are done next to perfection.

Yes, Civ V is great for newcomers because the game removed many of the negative consequences for adopting a certain path/play-style/strategy.

This expansion makes Civ V quite hard with 'next to the river' fields giving you no gold, culture based buildings giving you less culture and it's much harder to keep your empire's happiness high enough.
Indeed 'religion' and 'Ideology' have their specific boosts. But you need to gather faith and culture first.
