* How about asking whether or not there will be a cap on how many Inquisitors you can make?

No previous DA game has ever limited the number of playthroughs you can have.

(edit: if gaming consoles had a save limit, don't know about it)

* How about asking whether or not we'll be able to enter the water without slamming face first into an invisible wall before we can stick a single foot, toenail first into the water.
* Or better yet, can we effing jump yet or are we going to resort to shuffling around a box thats knee high and preventing us from going down a corridor?

The jumping/swimming question! I like being able to jump and I like being able to swim.

Never implemented them before. But new engine could mean new surprises. Alas, at this time, no statements either way.

* Will enemies respawn or remain dead and buried?

Never happened before. This is not an MMO.

Yes i love continuing after the end game.

I wonder what the side quests will be like though. Will they be inspired enough by Skyrim to create whole quest lines outside the main story?

Love that we can continue after the main story is over. Now if they add jumping and NG+ all my wishes for this game will be fulfilled, heh.

Thanks for posting, OP! I'm intrigued about the continuation of playing after the main story ends.

Thanks for the easier-to-read-than-twitter summary!

For those asking about NG+:

If we can continue are adventure after the game ends which I would really like to do but what of are companions and LI will new dialog open up or will they just regurgitate the same old lines. Please I just save the world or at least put a bandad on it till DA4 so if I continue playing will I get more conversation options from my LI and party members you basically them just telling me how awesome I am. There was a limit on the number of saves you could do on the consoles.  Or at least the PS3 as that was my original copy of DA:O.  The limits included DLC saves, so Witch Hunt, Golems of Amgarrak, etc.  Once you hit the limit it wouldn't let you create any more characters for either the main game or the DLCs, so you had to delete old characters or saves from either your main game or for the DLCs.  So I usually had to delete my Leliana's Song saves and anything else that I couldn't import my warden to.  It was annoying.

I am really excited about playing as a Qunari female, Mage.... I can't imagine what would be more horrific to a Templar.... A non-human, female, mage, with political power above even the Templar order.

It would probably be even more horrifying to the Qunari.  Female, Saarebas, Tal vashoth.

Why would her being a woman be of any concern to the Templars?  The Templars quite obviously do not discriminate on the basis of sex.

Exactly. We have examples of powerful female templars, both Knight Captain and a Knight Commander.

The misanswer about unbound Saarebas is expected, but helpful, so thank you nonetheless.

Well actually, CybAnt1, they likely mean is it akin to Skyrim, which for note is not an MMORPG.
Such a question is to be expected, after all, for DA:I is going to be semi-open world.
Which as of late- do often have respawn systems, to make the game feel populated and realistic.

For reference, these reset timers don't have to be short or instantaneous, like in MMOs.
Some developers (like Bethesda) implement variance in the longevity of such.
Which makes some dungeons take longer to refill/refresh, while others quickly repopulate.

Depending on time constraints, available resources and work load-
Such a natural feature as respawns doesn't has to be so horrendous.

Interesting read.  Thanks!

As for  the Saarebas freedom, it most likely will be:  Your handler was with you during the peace conference, but recieved a fatal injury.  Just before dying, your handler orders you to stop the invasion, whatever the cost.  Or something like that.

K. I've never seen a (recent) SRPG that did respawns, so forgive my ignorance of the nature of the question. Granted, as you know, I've never really played Skyrim, or too many Bethesda titles period.

I guess I might find one problem with the feature. I went into the cave of spidery doom 2 hours ago to retrieve the amulet of delayed blast halitosis. Oh crap. I just realized. I left the sword of vorpal snacking behind. I go back into the cave to get it, and I have to kill everything in there all freaking over again

I can't say I like this. I hope I'm not alone.

Game continuing after main story? Aww yeah. It'll be cool if they have a couple of nice sidequests exclusive to completing the main story. Like helping rebuild all the damage in the war.

Such was predicted, thus this was presented:

That means, when speaking of 'longer'- usually an in-game month, but a few weeks works just as well.
To translate such into this game's terms, one would usually look to a quest tally, I imagine.
Say if you completed 3-4 sidequests, a main storyline quest or one that involves that place- it'd get respawns.

Of course, were it that there was a non-PC controlled, day and night cycle, it could be done Skyrim's way.
With an in-game calendar that calculates the amount of time that has past since one's cleared a place.
Depending upon developer insight, NPCs could respawn after the desired set of hours have past.

Either way, these provide simple solutions to player concerns.
Although first- we need to know if respawns are actually in or not.

I'm pretty sure it's been mentioned that all of the qunari Inquisitors are freeborn or Tal-Vashoth.
