I'm always reminded of my dear old nan when I see Jessica Fletcher. Back in the day, I watched an episode of Murder She Wrote with nan and her sisters and asked who Angela Lansbury was playing. She answered 'Madame Cherot' in her thick Greek accent. When I realised she thought Murder She Wrote was actually 'Madame Cherot', I near pissed myself laughing. Love that old bird.

I have a house way, way up in northern Inverness in a small village where there are a lot of B&Bs. Well most of the people who own the B&B's are older and one might say "thrifty" . Anyway, none of them actually have Sky so they only have FreeView but until the recent digital change over we only got four or five channels. And Murder She Wrote was one of the few shows we got in the early afternoon. I remember for so many years sitting around in the lounge with all my "Older" friends and watching the show in the off season. We would have a fire going and have a nice hot cuppa with way too many biscuits and when the show was over they would always ask me to tell the tales of my time in the USA and how crazy those "yanks" are.....good times, good times. I never liked the show until then, now I have a special place in my heart for it due to all my wonderful memories of those times.
