I just discovered this audio content on YouTube and was wondering if this is deleted content or if anyone has actually gotten this before. Part of me thinks it was deleted and can't be achieved in-game seeing as Miranda's death in ME2 is virtually impossible if she's romanced.

Well, let me know if you've ever gotten any of these.

I never knew those scenes existed. I clicked it once the first time I played and got the Virmire "victim", I think. Since then I ignore Liara's dialogues.

I think it's kind of cool if you can actually talk about the likes of Garrus, Jack, Miranda, Tali, etc. However, I've almost never killed those characters so I've never had the opportunity to try it out.

I find it hard to purposely kill off characters, so my dream scenes are usually awkwardly silent.

Yeah, it's interesting that it exists. I just think if they are LIs, they work best alive (I think their storyarcs are more fulfilling that way, I mean).

And Garrus...I mean I did a "worst possible scenario" playthrough once without him and man was it depressing.

That's what I do. Pick the bottom right dialogue to end the scene as quickly as possible.

I've played without Garrus. I play male characters, so..umm. none of the LI I said above applies. Maybe it is depressing though, but I noticed I like some of the writing without him more. Shepard autodialogues different things at times. I like the Turian bomb mission without him. Maybe it's the same dialogue if you simply don't bring him on the quest. Not sure. I also like that Traynor comes to talk to Shepard after the Tuchanka mission. With Garrus, Shep says "I'll sleep when I'm dead." With Traynor: "I'll sleep when this war is over." It's a minor difference, but Traynor's is less depressing actually.

I like the idea of shedding more light on Shepard's emotions and "humanity", but the dumbest thing to do to make him more human is bringing an Asari in to do it. Spread the love. And if any Liara fan wants to get on my case about it, just go away. Nothing you say will work. I'm a lost cause.

Interesting. I thought that convo was always about the Virmire casualty.
Also Liara is the best LI. That's why she got more content than all those inferior waifus. It is known. Image IPB

Same here. But I always found it a bit weird that my Shepard could only talk about Ashley/Kaidan. I mean, I've just watched how the very model of a scientist Salarian heroically sacrificed himself to save the Krogan (or doomed the krogan race)...and all Shepard can think of is Kaidan (who died two years ago).

I wonder if it's just (dead) LI specific, or falls back on the Virmire victim.

I'm pretty sure it's just dead LI specific with the exception of Garrus, who you can talk about if you befriended him. What puzzles me is how Shepard could possibly talk about Miranda. She can't die in 2 unless she's non-loyal. I guess you'd have to Gib that part.

She can die being loyal. Leave her to hold the line by herself

That's a pretty funny scenario.

Some ideas for improvement then.
One, Liara needs to be louder, angrier, and have access to a time machine. Two, whenever Liara's not on screen, all the other characters should be asking "Where's Liara?". Three--

What if you have an unloyal Jack or Samara maintain the biotic bubble with an unloyal Miranda paired as your squadmate with someone who is loyal? Will unloyal Miranda get carried off by the seeker swarm?

Nope, Miranda is immune to the bubble "tally", unloyal or loyal. Unloyal can only die at the final fight or holding the line.

That explains why I've never seen it on youtube.

Even though Shepard only mentions Kaidan/Ashley after the 2nd dream sequence, in a broader sense Shepard is beginning to have doubts about the "pointless" sacrifices all of his/her allies made, that's the symbolism of the nightmares.

Oh, and ME3 takes place 3 years after ME1, not two years.

Can you explain more? Where do you get the "pointless" from?

I kind of see it that way myself, but I don't see it in game. Seems like the writers have a hard on for sacrifice.
