I own the Ultimate Edition of Origins, originally having owned the standard version; and I own DA2 for PS3.

However I do not want to have to buy all the dlc separately on PSN, I am an old school gamer and do not trust technology, nor do I have internet at home anymore.

This would make getting the dlc difficult, as i would have to take my PS3 to a friends house, go online, as well as having to buy a $50 psn card to get all the dlc quests for DA2.

This petition is for Bioware and EA: that fans want a Ultimate Edition for DA2! I know there are several fans out there that have been wanting it, even when there are many people out there that did not like DA2 as much as Origins. As a Dragon Age fan am very interested to see what happens in the Legacy expansion pack, I want my Mabari Warhound, Talis, and the Exiled Prince as permanent members of my party!

i know that plans for the DA2 Ultimate Edition were cancelled, but please, with the release of Inquisition being so close, release it as a gift for the die-hard fans!

i own the 3 novels by David Gaider, and i have plans to get the 2 movies, and the comics in the near future.

---

PLEASE SIGN HERE if you want to see the Ultimate Edition of Dragon Age 2 released with all the dlc, before Inquisition comes out!

I doubt that it will happen, but I would like to buy a DA2 Ultimate Edition.

Soon I will start collecting all available badges and will place them under my avatar. (Evil laughter)

Generally, when they do the UEs, they bundle all DlCs and all expansion packs

DA2 never had the Exalted March expansion or any other expansion pack. So I'm not sure they will.

That said, hope you get what you want, anyway.

Legacy is considered an expansion pack for DA2 as Awakening was for Origins.

Awakenings was an expansion, Legacy was a DLC mission.  One was much larger than the other.

I personally think it would be really cool if and developer just released all prior-game DLC for free before their current release. At this point, DA2's DLC can't be generating any residual revenue worth talking about. Yet giving these away for free at this point could regenerate interest in DA2's gameplay, bring old fans back into the overall circulation... heck, it could even result in new DA2 sales, which could be lots of new money.

And, more importantly, it would engender goodwill. Which is never a bad thing. And something Bioware could benefit from, in all honesty.

Legacy is more of a stand-alone mission that an expansion. Hence its more like Warden's Keep than Awakening.

I doubt they'd release a DA2 Ultimate Edition. I just don't feel like its strong enough in terms of content to re-released. Maybe EA should bundle all the dlc at a discounted package price.

i didnt know that, the way legacy was advertised, i assumed it was a big quest like awakening was.

Any way you slice it, you're still going to need internet access.

I also bought the DAO UE, but that really only gave me a license for all of the content. I still needed to download patches, and I think, some of the actual dlc content - plus they had to be registered, authorized, yada-yada.

ETA:  Awakening is an expansion pack, so it's a lot more content than a typical dlc.

I would say, from a marketing perspective - or just basic reality - it works this way.

1)  expansions are generally more expensive than "regular" DlC
2) they usually take place after the expanded game's endgame
3) think of it this way - the DlC might add an area, dungeon, or two; the expansion generally adds around 25-35% of the content of the game it's expanding. Those are all rough figures, of course. Non-content DlCs might just add a companion, some items, etc. ... but we're ignoring those.
4) almost always, this is true: the expansion usually increases the level cap, adds significant features, and may even contain complete gameplay changes and additions. "Typical" DlCs don't. The other thing is you can (usually) go back and play the original game's campaign with the expansion's new features.

The Ultimate Edition does have all the DLC bundled into it, but because of changes in Operating Systems and really how poor the DLC system is in Origins it norrmally doesn't work right on any OS after Windows XP (if you are lucky with getting it to work on XP).  You are right though you will have to connect to the internet at least once to authorize the DLC before you can use it, but I don't think you will have to connect again after that.

Well, DA2 was supposed to get Exalted March, but the devs saw fit to do a fan-DLC for Day that does nothing for the base game before one that actually effects DA2 and then EA said 'nah'

There are two. One live-action and one anime.

The Japanese version of DA2 came with most of the DLC (The Black Emporium, The Exiled Prince, Legacy, and Mark of the Assassin). I don't remember hearing about any other places that got the game with DLC included, though.

That's some fine voice acting.

Do you have a link to that, for I did a Google search and can't find any links besides message boards complaining that there was a GOTY for one country only.

The reason why I am skeptical of any BioWare GOTY version is because of the 360 and limited disk space, for they would have to make the game diskswapable between three disks, to me an endevour like that would require them to rebuild the code to incorporate it.  Now I know in the past developers would include DLC on a second disk and install it to the drive, but I haven't seen that practice in awhile, almost if Microsoft told them to stop the practice. Even if they didn't BioWare DLC is huge and would require a hard drive in the 360 and some 360 models wouldn't have enough space for all the DLC for they only have four gigs of internal drive storage.

I don't have a link, but I do own the game and I'm the one that uploaded all of the videos on that Tumblr. I was going to give you a link to the official Japanese website because I think it lists the included DLC there, but it seems to have disappeared. This is where it used to be, though.

The Dragon Age and Mass Effect series are the only reasons I’m mourning the eventual end of my 360’s life cycle. The replay value of those games are worth more to me than their combined cost.  I would gladly pay full launch price all over again if they were remade for the next-gen consoles with all the DLC I missed out on included. Would give me a reason to go out and buy that PS4 sooner than later!

Like you, our internet connection is spotty. Slooow… even on the best days. Which is why I’ve always preferred gaming consoles and my physical game library on disc. Saving the world from my recliner, in front of the big screen with surround sound and a wireless remote are also some very good reasons why I’m not too keen on switching over to PC gaming any time soon.

So yeah, you’ve got my vote. Twice!   Although it really doesn’t matter much (to me) whether it’s before or after DAI.

I'm game. I agree that it would be more convenient to have it all in one go.

I would like that BUT I assume that if they made something like that I would have to wait months before it was completed (as to let the Devs finish all the DLC) so that means I would have to wait all that extra time to play DAI.

That being said, since DAI is coming out in the fall maybe they could release a special Xmas release with all the DLCs. Or maybe some HUGE giant package with ALL three games and ALL the DLC for all three games and have some super-duper collectors edition.

Anyway, having all the DLC on disk would be great IMO

Just looking at this discussion got me thinking, do you reckon Inquisition will have a season's pass for DLC, I know the odd game has done that like Borderlands 2 as an example
